For realitybytes: It's called the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It's a big book, sit down and read it before passing judgement on my religion.
On Developer predicts three-year timetable for hotel transformation

I always thought it would make either a good halfway house for recently released offenders or temporary housing for the homeless. I mean, it was a hotel, right? So people would have a bit more comfort than a jail or the streets, but things like cooking and comings & goings can be controlled.
On Record high gas prices in Wisconsin

$2 billion goes to Brazillian Oil Corp (Petrogas) while Obama bans drilling off the coast of America. Steven Chu-the Obama Energy Secretary- is quoted as saying, "Somehow we have to boost the price to the levels of Europe." (WSJ 12/12/08)
Obama himself has been quoted as saying, "Under my energy policies, prices will necessarily skyrocket." -- Now gas is over $4 a gallon. How's that "Hope and Change" Working out for ya?
On Pupils feel pinch of poverty

Kids are living in poverty; parents are having to work two jobs or more just to survive. And yet, when we ask a unionized teacher to kick into their own retirement savings and into their own health insurance...well then we're just being selfish! Parents are working their butts off, but no one gives a crap. All they see is dollar signs. Greed is killing America but everyone refuses to accept their part of the blame.
On Email to Wis. gov. initially favored union rights
Posted on March 23 at 7:45 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
"Initially?" HA! It still does. This concept that there are 'rights' given to a privileged class of people-the Union workers that aren't given to others is patently ridiculous. RIGHTS ARE GIVEN TO EVERYONE! Constitutional rights are given to every American Citizen. There is no 'right' to collectively bargain. It is a privilege given to union workers that can be taken away if not used properly (like taxing the retirement away from citizens to pay for theirs). I'm still w/Walker, this has to stop. RIGHTS ARE GIVEN TO EVERYONE, not just to a bunch of privileged few. And I'm guessing that everyone who thinks that he is hurting the 'middle class' forgets that there are workers who aren't in Public Unions getting their tax bills increased every year just to pay for someone else's retirement. Oh And Thanks Gazette, for showing your Lib Bias again....
On Janesville schools face a very different future

You ever notice something about the schools? They are constantly asking for more money from parents. If not in taxes, it's fund raising, cutting those stupid little squares off of boxes and then there's donating materials for students.
When does it end? Never. We're all just pouring money down a pit. The kids aren't getting smarter either, but that's all the fault of the parents. We're supposed to spend more time with them, in addition to spending more time making money for the schools. You cannot have both. How come they are always broke? Could it be...perhaps...because they don't really CARE about the kids but their paychecks?
After what I've seen in the last month, I am convinced that none of the employees at schools care about the kids. They care about draining the poor taxpayers checkbooks until they are broke. What then? What will you do for us parents who have no more money to give? No more little milk caps to drag around, no more little pink tags off of HH. I'd like to think that the schools would rethink entirely their priorities, but they won't. It has always been and always will be.....about the money.

First of all, THANKS to not only Scott Walker but the representatives of each district who STAYED and got the job done. We "Working class" Wisconsinites appreciate it.
Now, to the rest of you: The ones with the death threats, posting images comparing Walker to Hitler, throw infantile fits and doing everything you can to keep the Democratic process from happening, SHAME on you!
Oh sure, keep up the tirades like a 2 year old being told 'no' for the first time. People like me w/no retirement pension who pay 100% of our health insurance find you pathetic. You don't like it? Tough!
On As impasse continues, schools eye layoffs
Posted on February 26 at 8:10 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
You can whine or cry about the layoffs all you want, but the fact remains that Wisconsin is still broke. There was a chance to save ALL the teaching jobs by having everyone give up a bit of their income for their own pension and Health Insurance. But NOOOOOOOOOO. So this is what you get: Layoffs. YOU WANTED IT, YOU GET IT! Congrats! Step up and celebrate!!
On Layoff notices stun teachers

DUH. What did you expect would happen? The STATE IS BROKE!!!!! You were given an option of each teacher cutting back a bit with every teacher keeping their job or to layoff thousands of teachers. You chose lay-off. The problem I have with that is the younger, GOOD teachers will get laid off and we'll be stuck with the crappy, grumpy teachers who are just buying time 'til their retirement.

On Birth control redux

And for my comment on the topic: It's a HUGE issue with me. Obama and his ilk are trying to keep us from being able to practice our religion as we see fit. Obama was very cunning in using this topic as his first assault on our Constitutional rights. I mean, look at ya: All you can do is argue about birth control/contraception/abortion instead of the REAL issue: Taking away EVERY AMERICAN'S 1st ammendment rights. So as you're fighting with friends over who gets what pill, watch all those Constitutional Rights go away.............
