Welcome back! You had intergerty before and I'm sure it is there again. Perhaps someone else from the Jvl. can still learn from you. After all you led the charge to limit the interest credit card could charge on accounts, perhaps others could learn from you with these pay day loan situtations, maybe not, egos and other things are hard to over come!!
On Sheridan says he won’t resign or be replaced

I think some are missing the point, not only do we have another possible Jon Edwards here, but we have a law maker, who now says that this bill is to restrictive on the pay day loan business. He then knowing the system, sends it to a crony who will see that it never comes out of committee. Is this because of spending time with a lobbists or perhaps golfing with them?
Like a lot of politications and their stories, this reeks.
Some politicians always want you to believe that some one is picking on them, when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
Further, what about the fact that Sheridan does not even own property in the area he represents. He and others were quick to critize John Gard, the Republican for not living in his Assembly district and say how wrong it was. Sheridan must live by the do as I say rule not as I do.

SG, if you were a committee person, as we call them in the UAW, you should have learned there are no periods in the shortened version of the UNITED AUTO WORKERS. It is the UAW.

No one should think that this $49,900 is such a bad paying job. When you add in the daily per-diem that they get of $88.00, for showing up in Madison, it could add up to another $440.00 per week to their wages. There are people in their districts living on $440.00 a week or less.
Then add on the fact that most of them are attorneys, realtors, business owners or people drawing pensions, this becomes a pretty lucrative part time job.
Perhaps they should follow the example of Russ Feingold a few years ago, just turn their salary increase back into the state coffers and then publize the list of those who do.

To: whatdidyousay, You are right, each person has to look at their own lives to decide if they should reitire, when they have their 30 years in. But, with nearly 40 years in does Jerry really need to keep working. He has his pension, why does he want the job? Is it because he misses the grievance settlements that he always negotitated for himself at contract time, which amounted to thousands of dollars? If you were really a rep in the plant, you know that this is true.
You were also the one who made the statement earlier, that the younger senority people didn't know what a good shopchairperson looked like. Well,I too worked under several of them and there has only been one, who was in it for personal greed, Jerry. The others, including Dohner have all wanted the job because they wanted to help the membership.
If you attended yor membership meetings you would also know that when Jerry is out of office, he only come's to membership meetings in an attempt to try and make the shopchairperson in office, look bad.
Finally, if you were a rep, you would know that bosslady96 has heard the second hand information right, the cushion line on both shifts was lost to Lear under Jerry's watch. You would also know that Jerry's son was one of the first hired into to Lear. So go figure

On Payday lenders should face tougher limits

Any Democrat that votes for the present Pay Day Loan bill, that has no cap on interest, should be ashamed of themselves. Believe me when I say we are all ashamed of you for following the Assembly Leaders lead and stating or thinking that you have a good bill.
Its a sad day for Wisconsin when it is a Republican, that says this bill provides no benefit to society and is only taking money out of the state. It doesn't matter that his statement was merely political, it is the truth!
