"A retired educator". Pretty much explains why todays kids are all screwed up.

Priviliges are earned, not birth rights. When individuals chose to not go to school,
have multiple kids by different sperm donors, take drugs, rob,assault, rape, and
commit other crimes at a percentile of race greater than any other race or color, what are they to expect.

Maybe some day there will be a minority that will stand up and say: ENOUGH we only have ourself to blame. Instead of a leader(President) that is doing all he can to facilitate welfare forever if you vote for me or my Party.

What happened to: Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For, But What You Can Do For Country"

As a minority, I am tired of my people blaming others for what THEY have done to ensure there fruits/privileges will be govt handouts.

Employees, I would be cautious with this recommendation.

Nothing from stopping the legislature from enacting a law (like Michigan did), that reduces benefits. And mandates past and current retirees co-pay health benefits after they retire.

If there is a large number that retire, I would bet something will be legislated to pay for all the new retirees.

Do your homework! before you make such a big decision. Cause the union isn't gonna pay your bills.

What a racket. So they are payed a base that assumes, they are ...adequate.

I would think $97,000+, plus health coverage, vacation, and pension for administrators (about $120,00 in compensation) would be enough incentive to do your job in a competent manner!

Solution to the public employee costing taxpayers so much: Give them a base and then deduct benefit costs. If they want benefits.

Teachers are a good example, take average salary of $70,000 gross, add benies and health care. Brings it to about $110,00 yr.

Divide that by days worked per yr, generally about 160-170, then by 6 hr day. Comes to about $75 per hr.

In many school districts both husband and wife are on the dole, as well as in- laws and their former, now retired, ex school employee. Working under contract, these old timers are keeping newer/ younger potential staff from getting hired.

It's all about the kids? Oh yeah.

This practice goes on all over the country. It is a good ole boy practice, and from what I have seen (working in the school system) abused by all groups/cliches, not a particular party. For the most part, that is.

The jobs should be going to individuals that are trying to climb the career ladder. Not retirees that milk the system dry.

Certainly you must believe a professional
appearance would promote an environment the students would respect. For the most part.
