But those people started with L.S.I in 2001, and the other people started with L.S.I in 2004. That is why it is that way.

Suggest removal Just a little information for you Chicagobulls70. The people that stayed at LSI are original CTI-TNT just like those that lost their seniority when LSI took over. The people that stayed at TNT have no problem with them. The problem came when people who were hired after LSI took over at the old building. I am sure if you had a seniority date of 1998 or earlier you wouldn't like it one bit if someone hired after that date was able to stay working and you had to lost your job. There are people that started in Edgerton that have 15 and 16 years who will loose their job to some who have start dates at LSI in 2000. So my friend put yourself in these people's place and realize you would not like the situation either.

The only thing is those people that were hired in then started at L.S.I a totally different company from TNT, and as sad as it is, you ufortionately were hired a few years after them into L.S.I. Working for a totally different company isn't going to stop things like that from happening when you change to work for another company. But yes it's understandable how you feel, but that is how things work in this world.

Suggest removal well i just hope the uaw gets these layed off employees all their vacation time paid out to them, and they are still waiting on the severance pay as former tnt employees, they are going to need this money, so they need to get this show on then road,so they are screwed again. a lsi employee told me yesterday, that all the linc employees that came there when lsi took over get to stay and the former tnt employees, who were there first are the ones getting layed off. how is that fair? it should be the other way around. my question is this a true statement? if it is, this is wrong.

It's fair because TNT is not around and they stayed on with a new company called L.S.I.
Lets not forget the fact that most of those L.S.I employees with higher senority right now at L.S.I were also former TNT people, and also started in 1997 with CTI, and TNT just like you people. Not all but a considerable amount of you started in 1999 with TNT!!! In 2001 TNT lost their bid on 161 O and P Dock to L.S.I, So everyone had to make the same decision to stay on and become new L.S.I people. It's the same exact situation only it happend to those people first!!!!

Suggest removal melstew47-yes it is true. When LSI came over all of their people got to keep their senority, while the TNT people had to start all over. That is why the TNT people are getting laid off.

THERE IS A GOOD REASON FOR WHY TNT PEOPLE DIDN'T GET TO KEEP THEIR SENORITY!!!
The company TNT lost the bid for the contract to L.S.I when it was up around 2004. This means that GM has put it's business into a BRAND NEW COMPANY. That new company is L.S.I, and TNT left the area. Which means you TNT employees had no company to work for period. L.S.I decided to hire you on after that as new employees. Which means you former TNT people would of course have less senority!!! The only reason you TNT people think you are there before us is because they kept the same building for L.S.I, and hired you on then as new hires leaving you still in the building at the time of their taking over the building. They could have just kicked you out on the streets right there and then!!!! You could say they wouldn't have gotten off to a good start with their own people learning the jobs on day 1, but those jobs are very easy to pick up on. Lets not forget the fact that TNT people didn't have to put in for a job there, they could have went somwhere else if they didn't like the new situation!!! Think about it for a second!!! If Wendys went under and left their building, and Culvers took over the building with their own people, and then hired the ex-Wendys employees as new hires, then would they give ex-Wendys employees higher senority over their own Culvers people???? Nope, and this is exactly the same situation here with TNT and L.S.I. Also your not TNT anymore, you are lower senority L.S.I employees.
