On Former Janesville autoworker, 41, could be heading to Afghanistan

truth1 - maybe you didn't read the part about the Army getting plenty of recruits these days. From what I have read, they had only taken so many with GED's anyway (high school dropouts). The reasoning behind this is because years of military enlistment statistics have shown that this category of enlistees fail to complete their entire first term of military service at about twice the rate of those with a high school diploma or those with college credits.
It's not that some without a high school education may not be capable, it is the amount of time and money spent to train enlistees who have a higher tendency to drop out at a time when they are getting plenty of recruits who have graduated high school. The Army is still a business, one who uses our tax dollars to pay for all this. Do we not want them to be efficient with our money?? Obviously Troy demonstrated his qualifications to be in the Army. But seeing as how the supply outweighs the demand, I can see why the Army made those changes.

I worked with and got to know Troy at GM, and he was a great worker and great person then. Just hearing about the work he had to put in to get where he is today is amazing, yet with his work ethic it is not totally surprising. Good luck to you Troy, and I hope you have a bright future!
And to all those who still think people who worked at Lear/GM were just lazy..... go stick your head in the sand again. Proof again that we had many fine people who worked there.

Well, it should be fed to the RATS who run our state now. Their stories they tell are always full of holes like a block of swiss cheese. They are just no Gouda. The smell coming out of Madison is like Rush Limburger.
I think the Koch brothers are holding the cheese balls of certain politicians.

Walker promised to be more open than previous administrations. You, kaysbrew, point out that he is just like Jim Doyle. That means another lie out of his mouth and none of the changes he promises. Politics as usual. NUFF SAID!

You should take that act on the road, che. I am sure you can get your tea party friends to join you.
This was not disobedience - it was being a mindless jackass who resorts to grade school tricks.

fromjanesville2waukesha - first, I agree with your assessment of our political follies. It's that some are worse than others. Walker is definitely run by the Koch brothers and others like them. The best hope is to get someone not so bad from either side.
And as far as the person being jailed, I think most can agree that it is too much. But seeing as it is a felony, and for reasons to protect the rights and free speech of all those who want a recall (or any change), there is no argument that the person got what the law has decided what is prudent. If people think that is wrong, then change the law. That is your right and duty as a citizen to change what you think is not correct. Inaction to what you see as injustice equals acceptance.

I love it that a republican backer uses the name of a Marxist revolutionary. How ironic.
@fromjanesville2waukesha - how many times do people have to tell you that it is a felony. That is the law. But maybe you feel like the Koch brothers and are above the law.

Feduptaxpayer - keep drinking the kool-aid. The biggest crooks in this country are the ones you elected into office. They might as well call us "little Illinois" with all the corruption the Republicant's brought into our political system.
