Racine County had non-violent inmates mowing the medians to keep people safe last year since they couldn't afford more trimmings than that. The Unions filed. We should use non-violent inmates to maintain the parks. We are already spending our tax dollars on them. Why not? Also I hope the city council listens to the people of the city.

When will the city understand that this is not the time to keep adding on fees. First in Jan the water went up, the school board is proposing an increase on taxes to cover their budget, and finally the possibility of a garbage fee? I have been on a wage freeze since 2008. Money must grow on trees.

My senior skip day consisted of us getting junk furniture from the curb and bringing it into the school and putting it right in the foyer and walking out. It was pretty sweet.
On Tea partiers boycotting Madison rally

I was there in Madison today, and I think that is sad that people will boycott an invent just because of one person. There were multiple speakers and he was not the only person to speak. The tea party movement is NOT one party it is about smaller government, less spending, and less taxes. It was a peaceful rally, plain and simple.

I did not vote for him, but I didn't care for my choices either. I thought both sides were weak and I didn't trust either. Hopefully 2012 will have better choices of leadership.

I was quite disappointed in his lack of leadership as well. I want a leader that I can trust and believe will get us through this horrible time. Unfortunately, almost everyone in Washington is complete out of touch with the public. And STOP blaming the previous administration! Everyone knows what happened 8 years ago! Move on, grow a pair,and tell us what you're going to do to fix it, stop playing the blame game, it's been a year!

I just spoke with the clerk. The meeting is at 10:00 am tomorrow morning. I encourage everyone to call or e-mail the city council members on this since they have made it impossible for working people to voice their opinions.
