VERY SAD!!!! and who is to say they did not hold on to thompson while driving away then dropped her!! looked back and saw she was seriously hurt so turned back around and made up some story!!! come on now in the article it says that they did not realize she was still holding on! and the driver must have not even looked or cared and put the petal to the floor. the injuries thompson asstained could not have accured going at a normal speed of taking off!!! there is negelince on both sides and in my opinion both probally should have got tickets!! there is always 2 sides to a story! im sure alcohol was a main factor!!! thompson could have suffered more severe injuries .lets be thakful she is still alive and hope it was a lesson learned for all parties!!

the river banks have eroded away from last years flood of course there is going to be more water flowing over. i have to agree instead of putting all that money into the ice arena it could have been spent on much needed things ex: building stronger walls along the river. wich would save peoples homes and businesses!!! Goes to see show the importance of our population around here. just wondering does the manager have a child(relative) on the ice hockey team?

I have to agree with most it would be nice to have a roller rink again! the kids around this area have no other place to go to hang with thier friends on a friday night!!! of course they are going to utlize the ice rink as they had the roller rink where is the common sense. what this poll really is for is the new hockey team they want to spend hundreds or thousands for. Lets see a hockey team consisits of maybe 20 kids or so. janesville youth population is way over a thousand. instead of putting all this money for 20 kids why not put it toward something that majority of the kids can utlize!! outdoor skateboard park, roller rink, teen club, billard hall for kids, this is completely naive and SELFISH for the community!!

my heart goes out to this teacher. we dont just wake up one morning and say "hey i feel like trying coc(or any other drug) today" It is sad and scary she so happened to be a teacher and was a risk to our children!! on the other hand having a drug problem is nothin any of us will ever understand unless weve been there!! maybe this experience will be a blessing for her! lets hope she can take this stride and make it a learning experience for herself and others and recieve the help she needs!! I am a believer that the choices we make in our lives will always have an affect on our every day lives! this teacher needed to be caught to realize that her choice of doing drugs and teaching is not acceptable at any time! let this be a lesson to all people who work w/ our kids, family and friends!!!

i sure hope this guy who looks like a maniac is the right person!! From the begining of the tragedy i believe he had made some sort of confession and it was thrown out. now over a year later they are still just holding him waiting for the lab results. whatever happened to priority!! this man should have been convicted awhile ago!! it is scary to 2end guess that they might have the wrong person and there is still a crazy @#@# out there. there are way to many people turning crazy. come one justice system serve and protect put this guy away so the community can rest in peace!!

oh my god another sex offender released into the janesville area!! has any one ever checked the sex offender registry we have hundreds of sex offenders in janesville. there is one in every neighborhood. yea sure they say that 90% of assaults are within family and friends. but to my belief these people are sick. They have no sane mind they will always find a way to get they want. they will soon relize that they will bide more time for them selves to get caught if they assault a unknown victim!!!! and what this guy got 12 years. half in jail the rest in an half way house where he can bullcrap his way through and those little girls have a lifetime of pain and not knowing who to really trust because someone they knew and trusted had hurt them in the most miserable way!! this guy needs to stay in the half way house forever to be monitored!! this makes me sick!!!!

I have know Jason since High School always very good looking guy and had lots of friends.. I know he struggled thru life at times but he always looked at god for his high power . .. He was a smart man and loved many people. I know he was very proud of his Son Gavin ~ And Gavin I am sooo sorry ~~~ He will be with you in your heart forever and I feel his angel will guide you... I am sorry to his family as I know the grief is very hard as my grandpa just pass ~~ I know Jason's mom and Dad were thier for him always and very great people... Vanna I am soooo Sorry ~ I am here for you all...
