John, A similar thing happend to Tom about 8 years ago. We were in Myrtle Beach with his brother Tim. tom registered 1st at the hotel and then Tim. The desk clerk asked Tim if it was OK if he was put in the room next to his father(Tom). So all week Tim called Tom his "Dad" Its all in the eyes of the beholder!

WEll like its said "its all in the way you look at things." Here in California at UCSF I have seen so many patients who have had or are waiting for transplants. The amazing thing is how thankful they are for each day they have. We all need to focus on what we have and enjoy every moment. Enjoy and congrats!

Congrats John, It always makes one feel better when you get positive news. I hope that things continue in this direction. Did your family do a lot of bonding while watching the race a few weeks ago? Family bonding is always good for ones healing process. Best of luck and continued prayers.

On McPoland loses his battle with cancer

The McPoland family has been in my life all of my life. From being Bob and JoAnns flowergirl in their wedding to having them babysit my children to having them there when my parents died. I don't know a family with bigger hearts and concern for others. My thoughts and prayers are with you. John, I am sure Grandpa McPoland will show you a few ways to win at Euchere. It was wonderful that you shared your life with so many during the last year. May you all continue to love and find peace.
