On Lake Geneva council infighting rages

"I can't get a 6-2 vote." Chesen will remove and appoint elected officials to manipulate a vote? Where has democracy gone in Lake Geneva?

This whole mess in Lake Geneva started when Chesen did not listen and take the advice of the City Attorney. It is apparent he likes to interpret the laws to his benefit. One wonders how many innocent people he arrested as a cop in the City of Racine before he retired.
We can only hope a Walworth County Judge ends this.

On Lake Geneva City Council remains divided

Chesen seems to be confused in this story. In one sentence he states he would remove the charges against the suspended alderpeople if certain things took place. The next statement out of his mouth is he would drop the charges.
Then he states the charges are not being dropped. Talking in circles seems to be his m.o. and a good way of confusing issues.
His statement about almost laughing at Ms Rohr is nothing new. He always is laughing, smirking and belittling the women council members. He even smirks and demeans elderly residents who disagree with his politic agendas during the public comment time of council meetings.
People are tired of Chesen treating others like criminals. Maybe this manner worked for his police career in Racine but it is not working for his mayoral career in the City of Lake Geneva.

The only embarrassment to the City of Lake Geneva was when Chesen took an oath of office and was sworn in as mayor to uphold and follow the law.

Lake Geneva has a very nice park east of town honoring vets. If you have not been there take a look. There is a Vietnam vintage helicopter on display. Maybe the students should be looking at this location. The park is called Veteran's Park.
The lakefont monument should be left as is. It could use a little cleaning up. It apparently has been neglected by the city over the years.

Why not scale the project down as suggested by some of the aldermen. There is enough cement and other things in our parks and on our lake front. Keep what Green Space we have left. Who will be next with lake front park project? Sometimes you have to say no.

The Walworth County DA should be commended for droping the charge of disorderly conduct against Alderman Spellmen. Mayor Chesen wrote the Book On Bad Behavior. All one has to do is look at the many complaints and police reports filed on him at the Lake Geneva Police Department. Why is the Walworth County DA doing nothing about these???
Mr Chesen must stop his retaliation tactics against Alderman Spellmen.

Maybe the ex-cop mayor needs to be sanctioned for his many instances of poor behavior???? There are many.

On Lake Geneva appointee planning to seek seat in recall
Posted on November 20 at 5:11 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
It is most likely the Chesen group, responsible for Spellman's recall, will have another candidate run in this recall election to cause a primary election. This will delay the election according to the city clerk until January. This manipulative action would continue to disrupt City Government. It will also put additional fincial burdens on taxpayers and the now suspended alderpeople.
When is it going to end?????
