You misunderstand. I believe veterans deserve their pensions and benefits. I also believe firefighters and police do too. I also believe that many and most public workers do also. But what I asked is how much of his pension and benefits did he pay?
I had an uncle who fought in N Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany. Another who served in the Pacific and one in Burma. I had great respect for all three. But they never seemed to think they deserved more than anyone else.
I am not a public worker and never have been one nor is my wife. We have no pension to look forward too but I will not ridicule those that do nor the people who have been protesting in Madison. If I had served in the U.S military and saw the way that our public workers are being treated in Madison I would be appalled not joyous. Is this what they served their country for was to watch fellow Wisconsinites get treated like little more than dirt? I sure as hell hope not!
