I saw more deer this year than any year past. Two in the freezer so nothing to complain about. I've had recent years where haven't seen anything so guess it all evens out. If you didn't see anything this year, guess it is time to get up and move...I've never had a deer walk in and lay down in front of me.

Don't listen to 'em young lady! I can't believe someone would be offended by a deer that bleeds when you shoot it or finding beer cans in the back of a pickup truck! They both seem like pretty logical conclusions to me. I think they're just jealous of your buck! I know I am...not in 20+ years of hunting deer have even seen a buck like that! Congrats on a tremendous buck and good luck following it up next year!

Firstly, congratulations to Gene Oakley for taking the initiative that he did. Terrific job!
As for the negative critcism of the Sheriff's response, you folks need to understand a little something called Probable Cause. Law Enforcement simply cannot go around arresting people based solely on 'hunches' or other suggestions of wrong doing. What you don't see on COPS is that the majority of arrests are never processed by the DA because of the methods in which the officer obtained the evidence violated the defendant's civil rights. Unfortunate? Absolutely! But that's the way the system is designed. I can certainly understand the Sherrif's hesitancy to become involved without a cursory investigation.
If you think you would do better, I encourage you to stop by your local law enforcement agency's office and ask for an application-assuming you are able to pass the criminal, psychological & background investigations and physical fitness testing. Good luck!

Hey cave dwellers...I understand some of you may still yet be waiting for your government coupons to buy your digital converters but maybe one of your neighbors could help you out and let you watch their televisions-tune into CMT. (Now I understand a digital converter alone won't let you access CMT but just go with it, ok?) Julianne Hough and Luke Bryan are two up-and-coming country artists that you have probably have heard on the radio but just don't realize it. Both have a couple of hits and I have to believe that the rest of their albums are good to go as well. Besides, Julianne isn't too shabby to look at.
