On First set of wheels

My first car was an '82 Monte Carlo. LOVED IT! I think it had over 160K on it when I got rid of it. I wish they still made a Monte Carlo....I'd have one again.

On What did Walker have to do with GM closing?

Posted on January 11 at 9:53 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Walker didn't have anything to do with it.....but it's a sad reminder of what was once there. There are still MANY families that are living apart from each other and others struggling financially. It's just poor placement of the sign - in my opinion. When everyone says....Move on...GM is gone. I agree.....but with reminders like that.....it doesn't help the community to "move on."

On Journey of a 5k

Posted on October 5 at 10:42 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I had joined a 5K running group at All Season Runner a couple of months ago. LOVED IT. I ended up having a set back with a knee/leg injury and wasn't able to run the 5K...but I'm back at it now. I'm not in it to "win" any race....just to get some exercise and to someday day be able to go out and run 3-5 miles every other day. It's a great distraction from every day life. Love it! Good luck!!

On Was your first car memorable?

My first car was an 82 Monte Carlo! Loved that car. I got rid of it when it had 140K miles on it. Then in 2000 I got a new Monte Carlo. To this day...the 2000 was my favorite car I've ever had. GM should bring the Monte back...

On Why a GM vehicle will remain in my driveway

Thanks for buying American Steve!

3 GM products in my driveway. I can't promise they will always be GM, but they will always be an American vehicle....I want to keep jobs and the profits HERE.

On Ice-skating at Traxler Park holds appeals for all

Great article....however, how about some kudos to Jeff & Sally Keena for all that they do! ALL of the staff at the warming house are volunteers and that is ALL organized by Jeff & Sally! They put their heart and soul into this organization...as well as all of the other volunteers. Keep up the great work!

On When do you put a good dog down?

Posted on January 5 at 11:28 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Over the last 2 years we had to put our 2 "kids" down. Hardest thing in the world for us. BUT...you will know when it is time. You see it in their eyes. Everyone always told me...You'll know. And we did. It wasn't easy but we knew it was time. Dogs really are lucky...they have someone who can look out for them and not let them suffer. You'll know when the time is right. Sounds like you were a great dog Dad!

When your free trial is up.....ask what kind of specials they have. It's always amazing the kind of deal they can come up with to keep you as a customer.

Al is a one of a kind! He sets a great example for the kids. Milton is lucky to have him! And I'm lucky to know him.
