Thank you for clearing that up Janesvilliean. You are correct and that it is owned by Teresa Mckeown and Michael Johnson. The Janesville Gazette is aware of this and is taking care to correct it.

On Cruising the strip remains a popular activity

I am so with you on this one dog_rule. I too was at the downtown strip in my mom's rally sport custom camero. I loved it. It was fun, safe and just a good old time. I guess these older folks forget the good old days of carhops and fast cars. Cruzin' was the thing to do. Ok, what about the movie "Grease" Classic! These kids are just doing what we did. Most of the kids I know that drive on the circuit are just that, kids looking for things to do and hanging out with there friends. At least they’re not in the woods drinking, stealing, lawn ornaments or even vandalizing neighborhoods. One blogger said that there is so much to do here. Well, I guess we are doing a really bad job of advertising those events. How else would we find out? Maybe the city needs to get involved with promoting teen events. People, look outside the box. Things could be so much worse.

On I’ve got cancer, but the cancer doesn’t have me

John, I will never forget the day when I was leaving to go home and you were coming in, you said to me "I know we don't say it much, but we do appreciate what you are doing!" You are the most unselfish person I have ever met. You touched me that day. Even though you were not feeling well, you still found time to help someone feel better. I will always be thankful for that day. Thank you for this blog. My brother-in-law has tongue cancer and is a strong person like you. Keep up the smiles, I love them.

On My biggest pet peeve

I had a crop circle in my backyard for 5 years now. We finally decided not to put up the 18' soft sided pool. (kids didn't want to swim in it anymore) Our neighbors have younger kids so we gave it to them. Anyway, we have this huge crop circle from the pool, so we seeded it. I have been watering it every evening for the past week or so. The grass has returned. Yeh! no more mud. Done with the watering too!
