On Death to health care

Posted on January 24 at 1:31 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

All 300million people in the US could have totally free health care paid for with sales tax funding instead of insurance, if care was dispensed through government hospitals rather than private systems, and it would cost $1trillion less than the $2.6 trillion spent last year which left millions without care.

To fix health care two different systems which coexist one public the other private could serve everyone.

Public care for everyone, no restrictions just ask, medications, dental, eye care, long term elderly care, everything period.

All health obligations for employers, states, local systems, school systems, everything could be eliminated.

Everyone shopping in the United States would pay pennies on the dollar supporting public health care, citizens, immigrants, 40 million visiting tourists annually, and rich, poor, everybody contributes.

Private systems would comprise the other half of the solution.

No government funding should be paid to private systems nor should they be subjected to any government mandates nor should their plans be taxed.

Going back and forth between free public, and user purchased private care, would allow unlimited choices, ultimate freedom, and always free public care would be available.

On Something good, something rotten

This Christmas Carnage called health care reform is the worst betrayal ever foisted on hundreds of millions of Americans by representatives we trusted.

Endless crimes against humanity are continually be committed by financial, energy, health care and numerous other industries because the President and legislators are refusing to allow laws protecting fairness and fraud prevention to be enforced.

War on corruption should be declared to hunt down our enemies from within and when the Congress, Senate and President have that law in place then everybody can go back to work to focus on solving the problems and paying for the damage that businesses and politicians gone wild caused.

Maybe some ignored voices with better ideas for health care could be heard to start over and do the health reform that is required.

We have an incredible country rich in assets and people that is floundering because of an endless array of self inflicted wounds caused by unfair regulatory actions put in place to favor those who can and will purchase advantages at the expense of those targeted to be exploited.

Neither Presidents Bush nor Obama nor Republican nor Democrat Legislators have been effective in preventing massive financial damage to consumers and the US Treasury in fact every purported reform brings more hardships for the Treasury and consumers and more profits to industries which willingly shuffle money to lobbyists and politicians.

Using a carrot and stick, by offering amnesty for cooperation or pursuing prosecutions for lawbreakers who try to hide, would save tons of money and years of time investigating, which did what, and how they did it, while creating these endless assaults against us.

The sabotaging of our country has to stop now.

The easiest way to end this madness would be to allow everyone who confesses everything to keep their jobs or ill-gotten gains and be exempt from prosecutions and the hundreds of billions maybe even trillions that they stole would be a small price to pay if we could quickly get our country back, before it becomes irretrievable.

On Newell - The archives belong in Janesville!

Parker Pen employed a lot of people; my dad was one of them, with a lot of good jobs for many years while making the best pens in the world.

The jobs will never be coming back.

Janesville is the most appropriate place to preserve the Parker story.

It’s a good story of what we had and a sad story of what we lost.

Maybe history can teach us something.

On Obamacare: No Waterloo, rather a tactical retreat

The President needs to throw out the convoluted mess that is being touted as reform.

Public opinions won’t cure sick people.

Real reform should provide care and medications to every individual, rich, poor, young, old, no restrictions if you ask for free public care and medications you should receive them at public owned and operated hospitals and clinics, no insurance, no co pays, free period.

It is not a level playing field with government competing against private insurance and for profit care providers for patients, nor should it be.

Government needs to become the basic necessities no frills provider of health care.

Nobody can collect the money to pay for health care as cheaply as the government can through a national sales tax, as opposed to forcing individuals and businesses to purchase questionable insurance to pay for expensive services in a system that has failed so many, and nobody can deliver high quality care and medications as cost effectively as the VA has for years.

Private health care's roll in public/private reform should be to attract every client they can who would find their services so compelling that patients would pay good money to voluntarily purchase their services which in a new system would be free of all government regulation except for safety.

All government mandated programs could be distributed through government hospitals at a fraction of the costs spent now by taxpayers to private systems, and the new system would produce true savings of hundreds of billions of dollars annually from the $2.5trillion spent last year, and no one would be left without care.

Businesses which select public care for their employees should have no further involvement to either pay anything for care or be involved in any way with health care.

Entrepreneurs and businesses could go back to doing what they do best, creating goods, services, jobs, profits, and tax revenues, when liberated from health care costs and hassles.

For seniors care and medications at public facilities would be free, no more doughnut holes and no insurance or co pays required.

This solves the Medicare, Medicaid and all other government funded cost control problems that no one will talk about, while giving seniors an infinitely better deal than they have today and much better than the convoluted reform being touted.

Going back and forth between free public, and user purchased private care, may suit some people, and it would provide unlimited choices, ultimate freedom, and always free public care would be available when it is needed or desired to everyone who asks for it with no restrictions.

On Health insurers face day of reckoning

Free public health care and medications for everyone wanting it and this dual choice public/private system will save taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars annually.

Businesses that choose public care for their employees would have no financial obligations or any other responsibilities concerning health care.

If you like private care, keep it, no change.

Ask the President and your representative’s to include this dual public/private option in the health care reform discussion.

The cheapest way to collect money to pay for health care is through a national sales tax, and not by forcing people and companies to purchase questionable insurance to pay excessive costs for services in a failed system.

50 million uninsured people along with everyone else, who wanted to drop private care and receive free public care and medications, including seniors on Medicare, could do so and the annual costs would still be hundreds of billions of dollars less than the $2.5 trillion spent last year.

On UAW Local 95 ratifies pact with GM

From this story;

-- Retiree medical benefits will be cut with immediate effect at the insistence of the U.S. Treasury because of GM's "difficult financial situation."

The UAW is strong enough to demand the study of true health care reform, retirees nor anyone else is safe from from medical disasters, ask your, demand!, that union officers and legislators shout down the lobyists and debate true health care reform.

True health care reform offering a dual system option; free public or private pay private care, you choose, would leave no one behind without care and it would cost less than the $2 trillion dollars we spend annually for our current bloated system.

A government owned and operated, civilian VA style system funded by a national sales tax, distributing Medicare, Medicaid, and all government funded programs, including anyone, rich or poor, choosing to use the new public system for care, could distribute care at a fraction of the current costs, with better outcomes. All prescribed care and medications would be free, no insurance, no co pays, no precondition exceptions, free period for every individual in America that selects public care. Businesses selecting public care for their employees would not have to pay for or be involved in health care in any way. Private insurance and care providers would no longer be required to subsidize indigent and pre condition patients. Individuals happy with their private systems could continue paying for, either by self pay, company pay, or private insurance etc, and using the systems that they like. The Veterans Administration has been controlling the problems with access, cost, quality, and malpractice successfully for years.

The Office of Management and Budget opinion on this plans economic impacts, compared with other suggested reforms, would be fascinating.

On 20 years after plant closure, Kenosha has rebuilt its economy

Janesville's location on the I90 Midwest Commerce Corridor is superb for business development. The entire United States is paralyzed at this point in history by crippling regulation and unproductive nonsense. Losing GM, which has provided so much, to so many, for so long is truly a tragic death to be mourned, and honored for what GM provided. Janesville's City officials have been effective in diversifying the Cities economy prompted by prior GM stumbles. Janesville could now put together a shopping list of the types of business it would welcome and offer regulatory fast tracking to help existing businesses expand and rapid start ups for new businesses. GM is leaving, the economy is a mess, but things could be terrific in Janesville.Smart people, great location,Janesville could shake up the World.

On GM employees still in shock over announcement

Janesville is blessed with good people, a wonderful location, and a rich history of entrepreneurs who made things happen. This tragedy of losing GM could be turned to a spectacular rebirth for Janesville and an example for the entire United States.Iscar, a Berkshire Hathaway company went to China last year and from their first request to build a new plant to delivering products took only 180 days! Site selection, obtaining all necessary permits, constructing a new building, installing all manufacturing equipment, hiring a new work force all of this could be done in Janesville. If Janesville made this fast tracking possible it would become a magnet for companies frustrated by the bureaucratic nightmares that are crippling businesses all over the United States. It would make my dreams come true to see Janesville show what she's got,to be the example,to demonstrate to the world,we can fix things,we can create great things right here in the United States, remove the red tape. We can make things happen.
