The resting players philosophy doesn't work, it throws off their timing.

On Wis. recall organizers to stake out Rose Bowl

I'm not a Walker fan but these "recallers" are so obnoxious its making me want to hold my nose and vote for Walker should the recall happen. Their campaign is having an opposite effect on me than what they intend. Do any others feel this way? I agree with the 1st poster.

deltafox-where did I misspell? That would be ironic.

frusion- You're good. X is the Greek letter Chi which is an accepted abbreviation for Christ.

futurerichguy- spelling helps but keep reading to verse 26, its good news. I'd still tell you to go for it!

futurerichguy- you may not be rich in the future unless you learn to spell. I believe the word is spelled "free." They do have other drinks there for a "fee" but I doubt "Kool-Aid" is on of them.

On Some clients wonder if they'll get anything from Brad Goodrich

Pro- Yes I'm aware of that difference:) Regarding Luke 16 it is parabolic in its nature and therefore not didactic in any way pertaining to the hell but a teaching on the folly of riches. If you read verses 14 and 15 you will see why He told the parable.
Regarding hell I believe the church has taught it as being a place of eternal torment but that the Bible does not teach that. If you read Isaiah 34:10 about the judgement of Edom it states regarding the fire "It will not be quenched night or day; Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation it will be desolate;will pass through it forever and ever." If you go to where Edom was is there literally smoke there? No, but Edom no longer exists however the consequence of its judgement is eternal. Stating that the smoke of its torment goes on forever is poetic language describing the duration of the result of God's judgement. The Bible does NOT teach eternal, conscience torment. I think we discussed specific scriptures on this years ago. The most prominent theologian who takes this point of view is John Stott. Take care Pro.

Pro- Did you just agree me that Jesus taught that there are different levels of sin?

totellthetruth- "there are not levels of sin" is not a biblical teaching. Christ taught that there are "levels" on several occasions. Remember when He spoke of anyone who harms a child? or when He used the phrase "has the greater sin" or when He spoke of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit as being on a level so great it could not be forgiven?
