On Genoa City teen gets seven years for drunken-driving homicide

Boo hoo for her. It’s too bad the judge couldn’t hear how she spoke about her victim while she was still in school. Not so cocky now I bet. She needs to stay incarcerated the entire time.

On Teen pleads innocent in drunken-driving death

Why is she still walking around free, attending school, going to her prom, still getting drunk, etc. as if nothing happened? This is beyond ridiculous. Maybe if her bleeding heart attorney and therapist/social workers’ families were directly affected by her poor choices things would be different. Put this delinquent where she belongs…in jail. She shows no remorse as she continues to act with impunity. Even my children - her peers, see this as literally, getting away with murder.

So, the police officer is not ticketed in anyway, and some guy just driving along the other way gets 1.hit 2. injured and 3.ticketed (albeit on driving on a revoked license – not right – but still!) and then the other story about this, with a long discussion going, just disappears off this website. Unbelievable

121390 - Please do this blog a favor and stop posting. Your statements, which imply that the victim may have somehow deserved this is the most appalling thing I have read on this entire blog. Also, you wrote “the lopez family and freinds are probably really hurt they lost someone they all loved. but how do you think krystals family and friends feel?” Well I think they probably feel incredibly lucky she is alive. Grow up, get a grip on reality and learn some grammar.

On 16-year-old facing homicide by drunken driving charge

This is so tragic, and so wrong. Girl is out way past curfew –drinking/drugging and driving. Parents seemingly had no clue/interest where she was, what she was doing, or maybe they were just deceived. As is often the case, the drunk comes through relatively uninjured from the accident they cause, which kills or maims others. Then the spin starts when the parents hire a high-powered defense attorney who has her show up in court in a wheelchair, probably dressed in her Sunday best. The criminal’s friends then post in blogs how nice she is, how it is a just a “mistake”, don’t judge her, etc. - all the while ignoring or trivializing the devastation the victim’s family is going through. A truly sad, but totally avoidable situation. Fortunately, for the killer, her victim’s family probably doesn’t have the economic/social means to keep this alive in the courts; as would likely be the case if the situation were reversed, and then cry for blood would be deafening. The only victims here are the dead man and his family. They are the ones that deserve our sympathy and prayers.
