This is the dumbest thing I ever heard. This suggestion is only a short term fix. Oh and by the way, all Rock County employees and City of Janesville employees will be contributing to their retirement funds soon. How about you step up to the plate and at least say you will contribute 5.8%. Then someone may take you seriously. There is also no way that 1/3 of the population will contribute $300. 25% of the population is under 18 years old. About 20% of the population is below the poverty line. Good luck.

I am certainly glad that these are federal charges. We all know that they would just plead out if it went to our district attorney's office for something like 6 months in county jail.

On Planners pleased with success of 10th annual Freedom Fest

This was my first year attending this event with my kids. They had a great time and I was impressed with how much was there--and that there was no cost. My one complaint was that my daughter waited in line for over an hour & a half for a ride that she ended up being too small for. If only the "measuring sticks" were posted where you could check before you get into line or the height requirement was posted for all to see. Great fireworks! We'll be back!
