Animal rights activists would be all over this no matter what the cops did. Stunning a dog is inhumane and cruel too. What is one to do? No matter what the end result is people blame others. Sometimes there is no good outcome and that is just life. Get over it.
As for the dog not having tags and stupid comment about binoculars, if they could see a tag and collar at least they would have known it was most likely somebody's pet and probably not a dog somebody dumped off therefore might have been a little less worried about aggression.

"Officers responding to citizen reports of a bloody pit bull found Magoo near Milton High School."
Nowhere does it say the officers thought it was a pit just that it was reported to them as such so why do we keep calling them idiots for not knowing dog breeds. Even if they didn't, cops are just like regular people and I bet every single person that wrote "what do you mean they don't know the difference" can't name every dog breed by sight.
Beyond that, I love my dogs and would be upset if they were struck by vehicles but the fact of the matter is the dog was not in anybody's control and needed to be. Injured animals are always dangerous. I don't care if the people are responsible owners and the dog was suppose to be inside. It was no longer inside and was injured. Did you expect the cops to wait and chase the dog around (from 10 am to late afternoon) while they wait for the owners to figure out their dog is missing so they can come get it under control. If they kept chasing it and it was hit by some other vehicle you all would be complaining they shouldn't have been chasing the dog at all. What should they do then? Let it roam around because it isn't a pit even though it's all bloody?
Cops are just people and aren't perfect either. Maybe they could have tried more things but if you weren't on site at the time don't judge how they did their job. I'm pretty sure they aren't looking to run down dogs all day long and probably didn't wake up that morning and thing to themselves, 'gee lets hit a dog today'.

Some of you have mentioned there was no warrant issued for Marcus. A bail jumping charge will automatically get you a bench warrant issued by the judge that you just snubbed in court. He obviously has issues that extend beyond smoking pot. Good or bad kid is just an opinion of each person.
On the note of legalizing pot, my view is that when they find a way to test how much is in your system like they can test alcohol, then you can legalize it. Either that or legalize it and if you get caught driving with it in your system then you get a ticket for driving under the influence. Since it stays in your system longer than it impairs your judgement, it would really suck to get a ticket a few days after use.
All of the "pot's never killed anybody" bull that is being posted is just that. People who get tickets for driving under the influence are not always under the influence of alcohol. The majority are but you can get a DUI for prescription drugs, illegal drugs, etc..
I'm all for legalizing pot because I don't think it's much different than alcohol, but the same rules should apply when operating vehicles. How are the public or officers suppose to know how much is too much like alcohol if there isn't a quantitative measurement like a Breathalyzer?

You know what always gets me when I read anything about religion is that there are the people who follow religion that say people who don't aren't moral, etc and the ones that don't follow religion say that religious people aren't smart etc.. You can believe in God and be intelligent and you don't have to believe in God and be moral.
Everybody has a viewpoint on EVERYTHING and their viewpoint isn't wrong, it's just different than your viewpoint. You should stop criticizing each other for their viewpoint and only state and justify your own viewpoint. What you say makes sense to you and what they say makes sense to them. The only way you can improve your thinking or their thinking is by asking questions and stating your thoughts and why you think that.

Alternative program isn't where it gets wiped clean. That would be deferred prosecution.
She lives in Dane Co so they probably asked it be served there (not to mention Rock Co is over populated).

Stop sign or stop light, it doesn't matter, you still have to stop. I said the guy was a jackbag for not following the traffic laws. As I said before, he would run if he was revoked like stated in the article just like many white, black, or any other race run when they are revoked. He's a jackbag for not following the rules, not because of his decent. If he is illegal than he is a jackbag for that too, but we don't KNOW he is, you are all just assuming that because of his name.

Assumptions make you look like a fool people. You are assuming he's illegal because of his name. Not all people of hispanic decent are illegal for christ sake. Although this guy is a jackbag for running and not stopping at a stop sign doesn't mean you should bash his heritage. He most likely ran because he was already revoked as it stated in the article, "knowingly operating while his license was revoked." I'm all for this guy being in jail for a long time, but it is about time people get over racism assumptions.

Yes snazzy, we get it. You like NFL, we like Badger sports. NFL Network and BTN are the same channel just with different groups they aim to please. We all pay for all the channels we don't watch so why complain about this one any more than the rest.
