On Duke in the snow!

What kind of dog is this? I swear he looks almost identical to ours! We know ours had a Mastiff as a Mom, but mixed with an unknown breed for the Dad. Maybe hound... We're not sure. Just curious if you know what breed yours is for sure, might help us figure ours out! Thanks :)

On U-Verse, Channel 3 reach agreement

We really enjoy our U-Verse service and it seems much more reliable than the Charter service we had for years. Have never regretted our decision to switch!

On There's no X in Christmas

You should have told the person that commented on your page that there's no X in Christmas the true origins of the X... It stands for Christ and comes from the Greek alphabet. The Greek letter Chi looks like our letter X and is the first letter of the word Christ in Greek. Abbreviating Christ as just the letter X has been going on since at least the 1400's if not before.

On Trick or Treat 'hotspots'

We took our kids on the west side, but on the opposite side of Memorial from the country club. Wow. Haven't seen an area with almost every single light on in a long time! We went around the circle of Royal Oaks/Camelot/Mole Ave. We actually finished at 6:50 pm and the kids all had their buckets full! We skipped several houses towards the end because we figured a full bucket was more than enough candy for the kids! Great turn out and great people that were SO nice. It was also great to see so many people sitting outside with fires going in their fire pits handing out candy. I'd say about half of the houses we visited, the people were actually outside visiting with everyone while handing out candy. I'd say we seen a couple hundred kids in costumes in that area. Very nice Halloween this year!! We didn't get any full size candy bars in this area, but almost all name brand chocolates and candy. Very, very little taffy or jawbreaker type candy.

On Janesville Legion falls to Kenosha

Yes, I was talking about the Junior League. I thought Hoskins and Kobs were on the Junior East team. Is this article about the older boy's Legion team then?

This article should clarify that this is about Janesville Legion EAST team. There are two Janesville Legion baseball teams, not just one. For people familiar with the teams, the player names and schedule give it away quickly which team you're talking about, but for those that don't... They'd never know!

On Soldiers get warm welcome in Janesville

Posted on January 24 at 10:33 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

It was well worth the stand in the cold to see the soldier's reaction to everyone lining the streets! I'm glad a lot of people turned out to welcome them whether you knew someone on the buses or not :) They deserve a big THANK YOU and welcome home!
