On Minor changes made to school funding

It sounds like a lot of money to me too, that is till you think of how many schools are in Wisconsin.. then its just not enough to keep the schools running. Janesville is losing a lot of very good teachers next year. which is such a shame. Now we will have even more homes up for sale or god forbid being foreclosed on.
On High school classes considered for cuts

Toward the teacher part of this, ya maybe some could do better. But so couldn't the parents of some of the students. Some could care a little more about making sure homework is getting done and a little less facebook, xbox and texting on school nights Would help too. Stop giving into your kids and make them do their part in their education too.

well frogger, My son is a struggling student with major health issues that could limit his life expectancy. His mind set is to achive the most he can in the shortist amount of time., So he can live the fullest life possible. These classes that the school offers him has allowed him to WANT a future. No, he may not be a A student that is collage bound, but atleast he has goals.
If it were not for the classes that he is taking many of these students may end up on state aid living off your taxes. Is that better?, I think not. These classes show students that there is a way to make a good honest living with or without going to on to a four year collage.
I would love for you to read some of my last post on other stories, they would give you a good feel for my family, and why I need my son to have these classes and how proud I am of him for looking tward making a good life for himself.

If this happens my all of my sons elective classes could be cut. So there goes the career path he was planning on taking. So this means I would pull him out of Janesville Schools.
This is also how we get the attention of all the small schools around here, is by providing these classes that small town school cannot do not offer, thus bring in out of town students.
On Comments eliminated on some types of stories

All I have to say is "thank You". Having been on the other side of the comments(rrstar). I know all to well how people can jump to conclusions and post nasty and very untruthful comments. After my husband passed away at work, people who didn't even know him or even work with him posted comments that cut me very deep. I spent the first few months after his death reading the articles over and over. I will never get over the negative things said about him. And to think he went to work to provide for his family and had a heart attach on the line and all people could do is speculate and ridicule a man they didn’t even know.
So yes sometimes, if not all of the time, these comments need to not be allowed.

I do believe you are thinking of the person whom killed a 9 year old boy by driving over the center line. That driver was found not to have been drinking and driving. So very sad, my heart goes out to both families who lost their little boys.

I have to admit when my husband was here it was hard to see all the money we had to pay in and to watch others sit home and collect on are hard earned money .. well it sucked, but that was before my life took a complete turn and although I am provided for now I needed badgercare I have no other option for healthcare and to pay for it out of pocket would brake my back and take food out of my kids mouths.. I now know why people stay on the road to now where..republicans want them there, you try to provide for your family and the rip the rug right out from under you. How will I ever beable to pick up the peices if I lose this health coverage. And what do I tell my son when I cannot afford the prices they want for his meds.

Don't forget he wants to get getting rid of badger care for all the displaced workers who need it, and widows like myself who cannot work and get insurance.. Yes my husband worked every day of his life to make sure we had the things we needed, he paid taxes to the state. And now that I need to use badger care for my children, and yes I pay a monthly fee for it, it is not free. (I also do not get it for myself, due to being a whopping 30 dollars over the income limit. )
If he makes it so I can't receive badger care, I will have to decide between food for my kids or meds for my sons heart condition.. See what you republicans just did to me...thank you so much
