I am a state worker and I have to clarify that for the most part I am not opposed to the increase in health care premiums or even the contributions to my retirement.... Yes, those increases in costs will hurt me financially, but if it helps keep folks from getting layed off I'm ok with it. What really makes me angry is that Mr. Walker is trying to do away with collective bargaining rights.....my union. If he would have just sat down with the unions I'm sure we could have worked out a compromise....we are reasonable folks....really.
Hey - and a really big THANK YOU and a YOU ROCK to the firefighters who showed up at the rally at the capitol to support worker's rights yesterday. You didn't have to do it but you did - way cool!
