CITIZENOFDARIEN: His point in driving this truck is to get the word out there & open people’s eyes because too many people have no idea about what is going on and when they hear or see something they don’t like they turn the other way because it’s too hard to imagine. He is putting this on the front lines and exposing the millers to ordinary citizens just like him, with “no particular interest in animals” because face it, even people that really don’t have a big interest in animals do end up agreeing that this is no way to treat an animal…he’s proof. But just so you know I happen to know that he does have a dog & several cats.

Excellent article! Thanks for giving puppymills such spotlight in this issue. We too know have rescue dogs and there is nothing like the love of a rescued dog. They give you more back than you can EVER give to them. Thank you for spreading the news, Jodi. The animals thank you. :)

FACEBOOKER09--I know it's hard to have children see things like this and be "put on the spot". However, I'm glad it effected him this way. It gave you the perfect opportunity to talk to your son about this further, children need to learn early on to be compassionate to animals. There is a direct link between animal abuse & domestic violence. If we can teach children to be kind to animals we can start to help prevent all kinds of other problems too. Maybe a trip to the shelter would make your son feel better so he knows people treat animals good, reading books about treating animals with kindness, or even volunteering at the shelter by walking a dog. See this as an opportunity to educate. There's FAR WORSE cartoons & TV shows out there that I would be worried about my 3 yr old son seeing...

I'm happy justice is being served!! Please, if you see a dog in a car on a warm day, even with windows only cracked...speak up, we are their voice! Visit this website and order these pamphlets that are easy to keep in your glovebox and leave them on windsheilds to educate people!!
