On Fulton cutting back roadside foliage, catching up with roadwork

Posted on August 10 at 1:01 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I agree with you deweeze. Last fall Bradford Township trimmed a tree that didn't need it and left the branches in the ditch for the property owner to deal with. They never touched any part of the ditch on Hwy 14 that floods nearly every year and desperately needs their attention.

You are so right intheloop! Afterall, Isn't an Employee Wellness Plan suppose to benefit the employees? How does imposing penalties on sick or unhealthy employees help? I believe there might be some Federal Case Law that ALL Rock County Unions should be looking into.

On Restitution ordered in Janesville damage case

Posted on April 25 at 9:21 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

In a perfect world the money would be paid through probation and parole. HOWEVER, there are alot of defendants who are released from probation without paying a dime of restituion. Whether it is because of financial hardship or flat out avoiding payment who knows. The probation department then petitions the court to convert the unpaid restitution to a civil judgment. Guess what, It is then the victim's responsibility to collect the debt as if they sued that individual. The defendant has to be gainfully employed before a wage garnishment can then be put into effect. Oh and by the way that is more money out of the victims pocket to do a garnishment.

On Bradford tables golf course expansion

Posted on January 15 at 10:54 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

The residents of Bradford Township deserve more time to have this expansion studied. We were only notified of Mr. Kerig's plan 2 weeks ago. It seems as if Mr. Kerig is trying to pressure the Zoning committee to hurry up and okay the re-zoning of land he doesn't even own. Emerald Grove suffered severe flooding in August. How can more roads, roof tops and driveways possibly help that situation ?
