Has anyone heard about the new sex education law being sent to Uncle Doyle's desk? It will start teaching 10,11, 12 year olds how to have safe sex! Shouldn't the law makers who voted for and Doyle if he signs it, be put in jail for encouraging minors to undergo illegal sexual activity? Considering it is illegal for minors to HAVE sex?

Seems like a majority of negative(people not happy about a new arena) comments. This poll fails to ask if they should even build a new arena. Just asks where? Way to try to trick the public and make it seem like a good idea. It's not.

Molly, People rarely get convicted with everything they get charged with, but thats why the prosecutors usually tack on 3-5 charges. If they only charged someone with one count, they have a BIG chance at getting off. So you add on a number of charges and that gives room to plea bargain or at least get one or two of the charges to stick.

By the way, 2,000,000 dollars and be done with it? If we do the math of we spend up to 85,000 a year on the current ice arena, that means we would give 23.5 years of operating cost away? That doesn't make sense to me.

Tell one of the other semi-pro teams in Janesville you'll just give them $100,000 and they'd be happy! Why are the Jets creating this huge fuss?

Why does the city have no problem making taxpayers foot the bill for a semi-pro hockey team but fights the two semi-pro football teams that are willing to PAY from their own funds, to use the stadium or other fields? Why is one semi-pro team worthy of getting millions of TAXPAYER dollars, but the others can't give the city their money?

This is always such a touchy subject simply because everyone has their own experiences. I have a 3 year old with my ex and at first she would alloow me to have anything to do with my daughter unless I paid her support. I told her that I would not give her money however I would supply her with diapers, food, clothes or if my daughter had other needs I even gave her 3 bags FULL of said items and she dropped them back off at my door. I saw my daughter all of half a dozen times in the first 8 months. And those were only on nights mommy wanted to go party with friends. We went to court the judge gave me one day a week and ordered $75 a week from my check. Now mommy had more money to get her hair done and party more so yes I did get my child more and we went back to court. Judge gave me 3 days and kept the amount the same. I kept track of every event and time I had my daughter which soon become 2/3 of time and went back to court for full custody and placement and settled for 50/50 with no support. My ex lost her job and took me back to court. Got pregnant again and quit looking for work. There is much more in the story but tell me how the system is screwed up!

The Republican Party is coming back and the "Old Angry White Guys" are being shut up and pushed out. Their is a waive of younger people that are starting to be more outspoken and actually standing on the principles of the party that this last generation seemed to have forgotten. As far as the talk about moderates and independants, most are faced with liberals trying to be Republicans or liberals openly being Democrats. Who goes for fake when they can have genuine? The R's and D's have been going the same direction just the D's take us their faster. Once the R's actually return to smaller government, less sepnding, and overall smarter decisions, the democrats wouldn't know what to do.

jvlreader, I'm not sure why you feel that way as I do not who you are based on your username. You are more than welcome to call me, message me on Facebook, or reach me to discuss the issues you have with me. Looking back on your comments, I can say with 100% certainty you have not been apart of the Nighthawk organization. Seeing as the very first article/brief we ever had written about us, you were immediately questioning the team followed by attack after attack on the team. I can promise you this team is not about my glory. But instead of trying to defend myself, I am comfortable knowing my players, coaches, board, and Nighthawk Nation would probably not agree with your assessment. I wish you and the Rage the best this season.
