Oh never mind, I just noticed at the top of the article you mentioned it yourself. Still nice though.

The dog is named "Rory Calhoun"? I can only imagine that Beth is a big SIMPSONS fan. Nice!

Turning left at Five Points to go South on Center Ave certainly is the direction to Marquette St.

When I clicked the link, I thought it was going to be a tribute to Gary Coleman. Oh well.

Janesvillecomments, I simply disagree. I have had Wonton soup at many different Chinese restaurants, and they all taste the same. They just do. Egg drop soup, Hot and Sour soup, all the same really. If you notice any difference, it is just in your head. An egg roll is an egg roll. I enjoy Moo Goo Gai Pan myself, but I have never had a meal of it anywhere that was any more "Moo Goo" than any other. That is what I like about Chinese food. You always know what you are getting. I will now tell you a very true story - when I lived in Janesville, I went to World Buffet regularly and got their menu for delivery, because I liked it. When I moved, and I swear to God this is true, I went to a Chinese place in the town I now live in (Li Yangs in Oshkosh), and when I got a "to go" menu...it was the EXACT SAME MENU. I don't mean to say it had the same items, IT WAS THE EXACT SAME MENU. Let me repeat...THE EXACT SAME MENU. Same damn design, pictures, listings, everything. They were identical. I can post pictures of both if you would like. And this is not a chain restaurant...it is just CHINESE FOOD. It was stunning to me.

"Unidentified" is obviously a shill for Moy's in Elkhorn. If that is even your real name, "Unidentified". But fine. I would like to put the egg rolls at Moy's up against any other egg roll in the area (I will even include egg rolls from the frozen section at the grocery store) and I guarantee you will not be able to tell me which is from Moy's. IT IS CHINESE FOOD. I hope people don't think I am being unfair here, but I am sorry, Chinese food is Chinese food. Especially that delicious appetizer that "Unidentified" isn't even able to..."identify". That is because it is CHINESE FOOD. It ALL TASTES GOOD, AND IT ALL TASTES THE SAME NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO!!

I swear, I have eaten Chinese food from here to there across this weird state, and I never notice much difference from place to place. Price differences perhaps, but to me, Chinese food is Chinese food. Italian restaurants sometimes have "family recipes" that stand out, but really...Chinese Food??? I would love to see a test of every Moo Shoo dish in Janesville, and see if ANYONE could tell which restaurant it was from. Come on people. It is Chinese food. It is all good. Or it is all the same. Or whatever. But it is all good. Whenever someone tells me "Oh, the Chinese food at <name removed for a fair and balanced post> is SO MUCH better than the Chinese food at <name removed for a fair and balanced post> and it is even BETTER than those things that taste like pork from <name removed for a fair and balanced post>" I just laugh and laugh and laugh and say..."Hey, just enjoy your Chinese food and go <retort removed for a fair and balanced post>". Let's all just enjoy our Chinese food, and dump the attitude. Good God.

On Rock County 4-H Fair announces 2010 mainstage lineup

Wow, what a stellar lineup. I was rooting for the late Jerry Reed to finally get his chance at Janesville glory, but once again that glory was snatched away by a music legend like Jake Owen. Has the 4-H fair ever considered getting performers other than country/western no-names? Or would that spook the sheep?

Good to see that Scott's update on trying to control civility on the message boards has turned into a whirlwind of name-calling and personal insults. It is a riddle wrapped in a conundrum splattered all over a dirty little Midwestern town.
