On Police investigate political confrontation

Both major parties have been canvassing and phone canvassing to help them identify their supporters for many years. As a matter of fact, there was partisan canvassing in 1960 as well. It is not a bad thing! For those who want to keep their vote and their preference secret, they just say that. A violent reaction to canvassing seems way too extreme. I have had Republican and Democratic canvassers contact me this past year. It is no big deal. I will admit that I sometimes get peeved about all the voice mails that are left for me by automated systems this time of year. It is the volume of voice mail that bothers me--not the content. Election season will soon be over. I think we can enjoy the next two weeks for what it is.
