....and Exempt from the law is Police. Firemen, ambulance drivers, and military??? if for one make it for all... They all have radios ( that are truncated so they have their own frequency to talk free and open...) they do not need to use them to let their familys' know that they are running late or what they need to pick up for dinner...
never liked the idea of public official not having to abide by this law.. ALL OR NONE... that simple...

Now the days of running home for lunch to "Finish the stuff you did not get to before" ( your noon time Nap and Soap Opera's) will be on the front Burner!!! Coach,, You will always be a major influence on many young persons lives, That is just the way you are and will be.. Parker will never be the same with out you.. You were a corner stone to the success of many parts of that school.. from Wrestling coach, to Drivers Ed Instructor to "the go to guy " when we had issues in other classes.. You were the main reason I went out for wrestling ( after you corned my parents to get me to "WATCH" practice to see what is was like... then it was all down hill after that.. you were not only a teacher, you were a Friend to your students/athletes before it was cool to be .. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say..."Ron Cramer.. You are an inspiration to more than just the people who knew you.. you were a mentor, a friend, and for some part of our family... We will miss you ( as I have for 30 + years... Enjoy your retirement with Beth and your Kids, (and their kids).... You are the one greatest thing that ever happened to me during high school... Good living is a head of you my friend. thanks for the memories..

I say .. build on the GM site.. here are some reasons...
1) Gm is not coming back
2) there is enough parking.
3) the Environmental impact would be minimal (the DNR is clamping down on what type of paint is to be used when painting the ice
4) Centrally located
5) they don't have to serve Alcohol ( there is bar in the parking lot- in walking distance or the facility
6) there would be room for expansion
and
last
7) there is a water source to make ice (granted it would have to be filtered but ample enough to supply the Facility for years to come..
People look at the bigger picture.. you have a space that needs to be used, you have Idiots on the COJ council, that have no sense on what they are doing.. and an organization that will have backing..
it is a no Brainer... (this was entirely sarcasm)
On Edgerton EMS manager charged with drunken driving
Posted on September 22 at 6:50 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
It is Edgerton,, they have their own rules, they have at least 7 bars in 3 blocks.. and the mayor (has frequented) most of them.. ( i know he has nothing to do with this, it is all the commission)..as for contacting the fire board.... GOOD LUCK !!!,
"The Good Ol' Boys Club" will (most likely) play this down, because, They too have probably "fractured" a law or 2, and the less said about it, will make it go away, faster.. I hope you all (Edgerton Fire and EMS District residents) call and voice your opinion on this.. I can not due to I live in another Township that is serviced by a REAL fire department, a REAL EMS department, and a REAL Law Enforcement Agency..
I hope they ( Edgerton Fire and EMS commission) come to realize that the people in their district does not condone this behavior or practices..
I just pray that no one is ever in need of help when any of theses people are on duty,, if help is needed,, KEEP DRIVING until you cross the county line...

On Edgerton EMS manager charged with drunken driving

Gotta love the EMS in Edgerton... They have screwed up again (more than some of you know...) not just with this,, (I can not comment due to possible litigation that still looms).. But as an EMT for over 13yrs ( 1 yr with CURTIS-Edgerton EMS) .. knowing that they have some one like Mr. Fonder, on your service, is not only a bad personnel move , but it also doesn't play well with your Public Relation area either.. Most services have a personal ethic clause written into their "By-Laws" that states something like, "I will not nor cannot consume ANY alcohol with in 16 hrs of any service call or On duty status".. they should have added,,, "and cannot hold any official position if arrested or convicted of such"... but I guess they don't have one or they don't care about it in Edgerton..
at the very least he should resign his position and forfeit his state license.. and save the Edgerton EMS alot of head aches..
The service and it's commission should take a look and review their policies on personnel issues this guy should have his license revoked and be removed from any position in fire, law enforcement, and EMS..
he gives a BAD NAME TO ALL EMT's and FIRE personnel...
IMO

not condoning what is going on, but they (the officials ) said they were not sure when the note was written,, And knowing how "Quick" out local law enforcement is .. it kinda of tells you something... doesn't it??
On Pizza with pizzazz: Toppers finds success in Wisconsin
Posted on September 15 at 6:35 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
Toppers are not just for the "After Party's" on college campuses, the people who are night owls (for whatever reason) that are up over night (3rd shift workers or holiday workers in particular..) use the Toppers Delivery service.. I use to work at a Madison Hospital (3rd shift) and toppers were (sometimes) the only ones available to get food (unless you went to the "Carousal Cafe").. Toppers Breadsticks and Pizza were always a fan choice.. I would like to see one open in Janesville or Milton but it looks to me that the market is so flooded with other fast food, pizza, and other fine dinning experiences in these areas<sarcasm>, it would be foolish to open one just to see it fail,, not saying it will, but the chances are greater that it will.. also, Good luck trying to get one passed in this area (if the city counsel has anything to do with it)

The big question is... Where downtown???,, there is really no place to build a facility that could house a dual sheet ice,, the east side sports complex would be and can house a facility the size of which would be required to build something like this... Anything in Janesville is no more that 15-20 minutes from anywhere.. access wise from the interstate should weigh in on a decision for this,,beside what kind of private and or corporate donations.. IMO..
