When my wife's card was stolen there was only one thing amusing about it: For 5 years afterwards, the IL casino where they used it sent her a birthday card a week before her b'day! It took a good year to straighten out all the mischief they caused with it.

DiGriz, you're an absolute hoot! Maybe you banded too many owls as an "independent research ornithologist". Yeah, right. So what database do you contribute your data to if you eschew legitimate organized banding groups like Sand Bluff because they're (sic) "miopic and narrow-minded"? They would seem that way to you, because they are Naturalists and actually value nature and don't want to destroy and eat its citizens. I doubt if they'd have you anyway; kind of like having a fox in charge of the henhouse. Speaking of which, banded any chickens lately?

So it's deer season again and all the evolutionary throwbacks like dgriz like to put on their little suits and shore up their masculinity by killing and maiming mother natures creatures. They call it "hunting". You can hunt with a camera too, but it takes more skill because you have to get closer. When you do your ritual in your little red suit, it's just an alignment problem: crosshairs on the right spot or front and rear sights on the same. No skill required at 100 yards. So you pull the trigger and take your pathetic picture: bigger number of points makes you a bigger hero: "Me shootum big buck". And then justify the barbarity and proceed to say "I like the meat", but grind it up into sausage, seasoned to disguise the "wild flavor" so it tastes like store-bought stuff. You're not fooling anyone, you know. Get a camera and become a true sportsman.

Ms. Kolpack should pack it in. It's time. I've never seen the saintly side of her she's credited with; she's all for Ruth and it's coming to light via this personal campaign and that of her dupes.
So the Bishop didn't read her entire thesis: so what? Someone wrote earlier that you don't have to drink the whole gallon of milk to know it's sour. And the thesis is only a part of the problem, if any.
Personnel issues are private; how can the Bishop possibly defend his actions as he's being asked to by those with a lynch mob mentality? He has spoken and I trust his judgement.

I wish you well in your quest for increased spirituality. You're off to a good start just by "showing up". I'll come when you least expect it. When my spirit flags, I concentrate on looking outward to helping others rather than inward and asking "what's wrong with me?"
