I do understand the drive defensive case but please remember to be sensative here. Family members do read articles too.

On Orfordville man dies in traffic crash

lilbobby, sounds like you have all the right answers don't ya. How about you go to the hospital and ask Mrs. Speich herself if they were paying attention or not. I KNOW FOR A FACT from the words that came from her mouth that they were in fact aware that the semi was coming but at the last minute realized it was not stopping. How about you grow a heart before you say something so insensative again.

On Parkview falls short of upset

I think if you are going to throw insult towards my comments, saying I should proof read maybe you should do the same. That way people are not laughing at your comments. Thats right laughing is not spelled with two f's. SO I was wrong maybe you are not a parent maybe you are someones grandparent, EITHER WAY I was dead on with her age group. I also do not fall into either of your two categories. I am in no way related to Tina Aasen and I can almost bet I have more experience Playing and Coaching basketball than you have even considered attempting. However your ignorance ends here because you are flat out of insults that would offend me. Good Bye!

On Parkview falls short of upset

Well I have to believe, podparkviewalum- that you are a parent of a junior player because those are the parents that make it miserable to sit in the stands and watch a game. Aside from that being said, what your saying is that it was o.k for your daughter to be a possible freshman on JV and play above sophmores and juniors and it was ok for your daughter to be a possible freshman or soph on Varsity and play above juniors and seniors but now that the roles are reversed you don't like it??? I think you need to pick an argument you are going to win. Sorry no sympathy here. The Orfordville girls should be very proud of their season. I think the girls are past this something that you have clearly shown you are not, for they have already moved onto their next sporting season. I can only hope you are as passionate about academics as you are about sports otherwise young adults will be getting the wrong message. I look forward to next years season and hopefully by then people will be past their negativity. Life goes on without a gold ball.........

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you but comparing Coach Larsen to a Varsity Coach is like comparing apples to oranges. Being 58 and 2 at the JV LEVEL is much different that coaching at the VARSITY level. That would be like saying well my dad coached my basketball team in 6th grade and we never lost so he should be a varsity coach now. I think at times people over look the dedication that goes into successful ball teams and it does not start in November with the first day at practice and a couple of games over the summer. Just a thought, for those of you who feel this team is only ones that could even come close to a GOLD BALL wake UP!!! almost 80 some schools in the state don't make it there either!!! Guess its time for those schools to find a new coach too huh?

i care about people on the rode i think going under the speed limit is just as rude and unsafe as going over the speed limit, i come over a hill and come up on someone being "SAFE" going 47mph in a 55 is just a dangerous..just a thought.

On Man charged after wife dies in crash

I have to say that I am shocked at this accident. I have seen what a loving man Dan was to his wife. I never saw them apart. Always together laughing, dancing, having a great time enjoying life. I wish the best for their family and its hard to think someone already has to live with losing their loved one but also being the cause of it could tear someone apart. I'm sure that will be a punishment in itself.

On UPDATE: GM plant to close by 2010

I understand GM is important to many people but think about the other plant on that street that is closing in SEPTEMBER!!! the old Gilman and they didn't make anyting close to what GM workers made and a majority of them aren't nearly as bitter as the GM works seem to be.....not all GM workers but a good portion that I have heard and seen.

On Janesville engineering company to close

Wow what a way to find out your job will be terrminated. The workers there found out this morning. They were told they could go home for the day if they wanted but thank you to those that choose to stay today and answer the phones to talk with their fellow workers(friends),some of which have been sent out of town to do work for this company, and let them know what is going on back in Janesville .....But don't worry they will have a letter waiting for them in the mail when they get back. How nice!
