Dr.Talk: You can't blame all of the job losses on increasing the minimum wage. For example, I have been laid off from nursing (RN) positions three times since 2006. In my case, each layoff was directly linked to a shortage in funds.

Hey, I love the food at the Rice Bowl. It is absolutely the best Chinese food in Southern Wisconsin. Is it going out of business? That would be a real shame.

Nothing will change until voters get off their butts and hound their legislators to change the laws. Step 1: Learn your legislators names. Step 2: Get their phone numbers and/or addresses. Step 3: Contact them and complain. Start now please.

Whybesad: He didn't exactly "hang out" with the Ayers guy. Even the Chicago newspapers said that report was garbage. And Obama praised McCain for his love of the USA. But that isn't exactly the issue for many of us in this election. I love McCain and would love to vote for him just because of what he went through in Vietnam. However, he's backing more than 90 percent of President Bush's failed policies. I don't think this country can take another four years that resemble the past eight under Bush.

Shutupandfish: One doesn't take a community organizing job unless they also have a great desire to help people who need the help most. I need to do more homework on Gov. Palin, but for now, she seems to be just a "PTA mom gone wild."
