I also think you shouldn't be able to chew gum while driving. Digging in your purse or whereever it is is distracting and could cause an accident. (sarcasm) I don't need the government telling me when to use common sense.JMO

Last night my son wanted to see the spoon I was holding. I handed it to him and he started walking away. I said, "Wait, momma needs that spoon. Give the spoon back to momma please." He looked at me and said, "no" and turned around and walked away. He's only 20 months, and while I didn't appreciate having to chase the spoon down, I thought it absolutely wonderful to see him realizing he has a mind of his own.

SarahB1-It does require a lot of hands-on work, but not a lot of expensive equipment. The overhead is able to be kept under control. My family has raised it for generations, but none of them smoke. It's one of those things where everybody pitches in to get the job done. The harvesting (which is the difficult part) is completed in a few days w/ help from the whole family. It ends up being like a part time job.

Hornet - I believe I was on topic. I made a comment showing there are still a few decent people out there in the public. That waitress went out of her way for us. We were actually just about to leave the restaurant for fear of disturbing others. Calm down.

Pete I have to say I've noticed that in my 1 1/2 year old son. We were just at Texas Roadhouse last night and my son was on the verge of a meltdown right before our food came. A blond waitress came over and just started talking to him and he was completely calmed down and we finished our dinner (quickly). Thank you to that waitress!
He does that everywhere. Only with women though. He's wary with men he doesn't know.

I love that this is open to all ages, and I think it's a great idea to do something like this. I'll be taking the whole family for a peek.

Do they mean safer for head on crashes? Wouldn't it be the opposite for getting rear ended then?

I'm ususally pretty tolerant of animals and have two large dogs myself. But I don't take them to pee in the same spots on neighbors lawns every day. She has that dog on one of those retractable leashes too and he walks all the way up and into our yard and around in our bushes. The dog barks at everything which doesn't make it any better.

On Acting vs. Reacting

I agree. You have to act to some extent to just make it through the day when you have kids. I have a spontaneous 21 month old, so reacting comes with the territory too.
