On Milton superintendent being paid for leave
Posted on November 19 at 3:18 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
He started in July...and has been on leave since mid-October, shouldn't there be some sort of MINIMUM requirement to fulfill ones contract? He does not deserve to be bought out of his contract or to be paid this type of leave. Garrow gets to add to his resume of experience, and he has done nothing but basically accept the position, collect the pay, and move on. If someone on that school board doesnt step up and make some noise, they all can forget another term! They have lost any respect from my household. Oh, and p.s. forget the "interim".... we have done just fine without Garrow this far, just hire for next year and save us what money you can!
On Bus ride times, transfers at issue at Milton School Board meeting

In the past, they had the first on- first off policy "because its fair" I never understood driving past our house, keeping my children on the bus driving throughout the countryside, in bad weather to the farthest point on the route, to drop off the first child. and then continue dropping off students along the way back into town. Its a waste of gas, at the least, I dont think any child should be riding any longer than necessary, not out of "fairness" but safety. Dont keep the kids on to ride any further on those roads than need be. And by all means, if there is a closer school, or bus route. coordinate it! Bottom line, someone at Riteway is NOT doing their job. sorry but it has little to do with construction, they seriously do not care. I have had 12 years of Riteway bus routes, and every time I have had an issue, there has been no resolution, and it was ALWAYS brand new news to them. "we werent aware of this problem" was the standard line on the other end of the phone. And of course "they will look into it" is the line to follow. But never a resolution.

I hope they resolve this, I can only imagine the traffic going thru that subdivision if people (who know where to go) have to get off at Townhall and come up to get gas/McDonalds thru the subdivision, wheres the next gas stop? at least Fort.

For anyone with a troubled past...this is a perfect outlet to keep them on track to being positive members of society. Free advertising for the gym, and maybe someone reading looking for an "outlet" sounds like it works

mespl, I shop local every chance I get, this menu is not offered by anyone else, and they have the proper permits, making him a new "local" business that I will support.

I really hope they don't put an end to the taco truck, they have a very basic menu, like Rex said, they can't offer bathrooms, shelter, heat etc. and on poor weather days I am sure their business will be limited, It is a nice option and something different that isnt offered in Milton by anyone else. I would like to know which local businesses are complaining, sounds more like they don't have the confidence in their own quality to keep their customers coming back. I would love to hear that the taco truck is here just to "test the waters" for a future restraunt opening, with a larger menu! Its very good food!

Who boils lasagna noodles anymore? anyone try the no-boil kind, you put in right in the dish, out of the box, cant tell the difference! Yum, I know whats for dinner this week! and P.S. the 89 cent sauce in the can (Del-Monte or Hunts) is wonderful, just add parm. cheese and mushrooms, way better than the expensive jar.

On Planet Fitness eyeing Milton Avenue location

I gotta say, JAC will be fine, Anytime Fitness better clean up its act. Anytime and Planet fitness, I believe cater to a different group of fitness seekers. I for one, do not care for JAC only because of the size, and I prefer the 24 hour availability. I am paying $45 a month (@Anytime) as required by my contract, but dont go much because of the pressure from staff to use their trainers. I dont want to buff up, i want to walk the treadmill and do my thing. I prefer no pressure, so I welcome Planet Fitness...hoping they migrate to Milton too. I would like to say "goodbye" to Anytime Fitness.
