On Love beyond hearts and flowers

Great story and so very true.Luckily my husband and I lived each day as if it were our last. When he was diagnosed with Cancer it was like the end of our world, but we absolutely had no regrets except that we did not have enough time together. He died seven months after his diagnosis and I miss him as much today as I did the day he passed.

I am so incredibly sad right now! I think I know what you and your family are going thru right now. My husband was given a few weeks to live back in January due to Liver Cancer -he succumbed to the illness on July 4th 2009-just three months ago. He also was not afraid of dying-he had no regrets in his life. Only that he had the disease and that we could not spend many years together. We tried to prepare but you just can't! My pain is unbearable. You sound like a very strong person. God Bless

This is really neat and I think businesses should really be receptive to the idea. I had my son back in 1984 and the wonderful company that I worked for allowed me to bring him in to work whenever necessary. To me it benefits everyone

So what about the parents that are never around because they are in the bars drinking or are drug abusers yet their children go to school everyday, make the honor roll, get jobs, make all the right decisions -I guess we better blame that on the parents

SKIDDZ -Not to get personal but do you have children? If so I bet they are perfect! You must be the perfect parent. If not it's probably a good thing because god forbid that they should possibly make a mistake in judgement- it would be all your fault as a parent subjecting them to such an environment. To blame the parents as a whole is the rudest unintelligent comment I have heard. You have no clue. I could go on and on but I'll just leave it at that.

I have been sitting here trying to come up with a response and all I can come up with is
that I won't even entertain the comment that unless I am born again I belong to the devil. You are way out there. I don't need a book to live by-I live in the real world and accept people for whom they are -don't matter religion-color-sexuality-whatever. Good-bad-or indifferent!. And I pray every nite -maybe more than ever as my husband is dying from cancer. And I know that God hears me and does not look me up in his book to see if I am born again. And then say oh no I'm not listening to her she is not born again -she belongs to the devil. What a ludicrous statment that was. He loves me for who I am not what I am and as long as I do good in the world he will always be on my side.

On Wis. Assembly passes bill taking away union rights

WOW! I am not into politics but even I can see that this is bull crap. I am not in the Union and I pay for my healthcare and my retirement, etc. etc. But this is like absolutely ridiculous. The public union employees have already agreed that they would pay their fair share for health care and retirement plans. Why take away the rest of their collective bargaining rights? You really think that this is going to balance the budget -whatever. And why was Walker not willing to sit down and at least discuss this and talk with the union employees. It's like he took office and now he is "god". Granted balancing the budget was his "platform" but come on. I don't think anyone saw that he would be a union buster and be so arrogant about this. My husband would be so furious about this --God rest his soul. He was a union electrician and very proud of it --Local 890 to be exact. This whole situation is absolutely ludicrous!
