In another article, the need of a stamping plant is also mentioned, logisticly leaving Janesville out of the running. Is there not enough property to sustain a stamping facility along with a compact car line at the current site making it even more efficient?

Consideration I agree but atleast for now everyone is working. This also could of been handled like other business sales where the company is sold with no one knowing and when everyone leaves Friday for the weekend movers and riggers come in and gut the place by Sunday night and when the workers come in Monday their is nothing left???

Maybe the employees from Freedom that are commenting here have way to much time on their hands to be doing non work related activities on Freedoms computers on Freedoms time. Maybe when they had layoffs a while back may you should of been one of them.

Has anyone ever looked into the cost of leasing a state of the art system that would include updates/upgrades and IT support with warranty? Even if it was $5,000.00 per month that would be 600 months or 50 years of service being upgraded as needed along the way AND FOR ONCE SOMETHING BUDGETED FOR even if it was $10,000 per month we wold not have to worry about it for 25 years **disclaimer** numbers were used as an example to make a point. I cannot justify spending 3 mil to fix a dead horse.

Maybe Obama needs to look at the history of Schneider and take notes. Scnheider thrived before Reagan's de-regulation of commerce and after de regulation and Don Schneider never took his company public to be traded on the market like JB HUNT and Swift to name a few.
