On Wis. police pick pension or insurance

Posted on January 6 at 6:17 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Just when i think i have seen/read it all, i read these unbelievable comments. How can some of you sit there and think you know what a public worker does daily or goes through in their career? Apparently, you are know it alls. I know many in the public sector and i am in awe at the things they see, the stress they go through and the knowledge they must have to keep themselves, and us the public, safe. And no, they do not make a large amount of money or have all the toys. Did you ever think that they have other jobs or that their spouse works hard as well? I for one want to know that if i ever call 911, they will perform the jobs they are trained to do and save me or my family. That alone is worth the few extra taxes i have to pay to support them.

On Janesville school-union talks halted

Publicsector - This is all the public unions fault?? You trying to tell me that those that risk their lives (in various ways) on a daily basis are not worth your tax money? Let me guess, you are one of those people that moan and groan about your taxes until your road doesn't get plowed in time, or you need police/fire/ambulance for an emergency. I know, i know, you are now going to tell me that public employees don't need unions. Well, if they did not belong to the union, there is no doubt the municipalities would under pay them and take benefits away even though they have earned them due to their dedication, continuous training and education. I think it is a pretty cheap "insuracne policy" to have when/if i ever need them.

Wow, you would never know by most responses that this is supposed to be the "Holiday Season." Mr. Knox is only asking a question and giving his opinion, no big deal. We all have our opinions so there is no reason to get so excited. I am surprised nobody mentioned that it was Walkers fault (not that i am a Walker supporter). It is great to read everybody's opinion but i can tell that some keyboards are smoking in the stateline area right now as they cannot type fast enough. Chill out. And, just to tick some people off, i only drive vehicles from the Big 3. Peace out.

On 9/11 memorial unveiling Sunday at Town of Beloit Fire Department

Posted on September 8 at 4:48 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Hey crunch_munch, why don't you WAKE UP? Do you think just because the fire department decides to build a memorial for 9/11 that they have forgotten about all the military personnel? Don't you think the memorial may stand for all those people that lost their lives that day not just firefighters? I bet if you asked just about any firefighter who their true heros are they would say it is the ones who protect our country and freedom. If you do not like the idea of this memorial, then don't go visit it.

On Evers speaks out against union changes

I am so sick of hearing from you union bashers! Maybe the union workers should be like most of you on here and go on unemployment and welfare so you can still complain about how you take care of all these workers with your taxes!

On Pats beat Packers 31-27

Sorry Eman, you are wrong. I agree that McCarthy has done a pretty good job with the rash of injuries, but his poor play calling and lack of use of that red handkerchief that stays in his pocket, cost games this year. I agree with dtb, should have went for the TD as you know the Patriots are going to score more points. If MM had challenged the 4th down dropped pass towards the end of the Atlanta game, the Pack would have won the challenege and the game. If he had challenged the TD pass that was ruled incomplete in the Detroit game, he probaly would have won that challenge and hence the game. Two victories given away. Not good.

Where is PBRMan and all the rest of the Beloit naysayers lately?? Lets see, the murder suspect from last week was originally from Janesville and now this?? Oh my gosh, say it isn't so. (Can you hear the sarcasm)?

Peterson rushed for 87 yards on 219 carries?? That would equal minus 39 yards per carry. A little bit of a typo....lol

Well packer12, if everybody were like you, there wouldn't be a need for police, fire departments, ambulances, laws, etc. since everyone would just live their lives using common sense. The world would be perfect.
