On On Being an Older Mom

Posted on May 20 at 10:24 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I too am an older Mom. I had my 7 year when I was 44. I think I got more comments from our hometown when I was pregnant more so than now. I can remember two times when someone said something about me being his grandma and one lady commented when I said I had a 7 year old.. she said YOU have a 7 year old? Like I have one foot in the grave or what? I love being an older Mom but also was a young Mom. I have 3 other children, ages 31, 29 and 26 and also a grandson who is 5. I would not trade my life with anyone. I love it! People's comments are a reflection on them not me! We keep up with our son just fine, of course my husband is 6 years younger, but we dont' really even think about how old we are, only how lucky we are!

JJL...you are funny...what stench? I take my son to the park all the time and have yet to smell any stench! Also, from what I understand they do have employees there from Milton, but anyway what does that have to do with this article anyway?? :)

On More than half of Wisconsin ethanol plants face violations

I was thinking about the $500 billion plus that has been spent so far in Iraq, and the 4000 plus American service men and women who gave their lives to keep the oil flowing. Would that be considered a subsidy for the oil companies? Or maybe just a cost of doing business so everyone can go fill up with 100% pure unleaded. I wonder if the all the Wisconsin National Guard and Reserve service personnel who have or are going to be deployed to Iraq would rather be guarding a Wisconsin corn field or an Iraqi oil field? Could we call this situation some sort of "doggle"? Just curious.

So who gets the money? The refineries? Aren't they the oil companies? So the actual ethanol plants don't get anyting? How can that be called a subsidy for the ethanol industry?
