On Pioneer Hi-Bred celebrating 85 years of agricultural science

I disagree totally Dwight! I worked there for 8 years and there were definitely rough days, but it's a summer job for a teenager. The pay is much better than most people and you can make a lot in just 2 months. Gene does a great job with those kids and showing them that hard work is appreciated. It does make you appreciate an inside job though on these muggy days.
Congrats on 85 years and all the new expansion Pioneer!

Maybe we should give that $2 million to the school district so we could stop cutting all the classes and teachers. I think that is a little more important than them skating on a nice rink after school!

Congrats Professor McCallister! I know when I was there you were trying to get this going and it's great to hear that you finally had success. Can't wait to see them next time im around.

On Who would you rather pay? Dave Bush or Ben Sheets?

It sure would have been nice to get rid of Suppan though and pay Sheets that money instead. If he can stay healthy now with a new elbow he still has the stuff to dominate, whereas Suppan has never shown that in Milwaukee!

On Fifth Quarter offers kids an alternative in a Christian setting

People in this city are unbelievable! These people are giving up their Friday nights for your kids to have somewhere besides Dunkin Donuts to hang out at. If only more kids took advantage of this then the rest of the city could use Milton Ave on Friday nights.

This is a great opportunity for kids in this area to have something safe and different to do on a Friday night! Thanks everyone for getting this put together and I hope that kids take advantage of it.

On Vikings QB gets best of old team

whythink:
No Favre's receivers aren't as good as Rodgers but he has "the best" running back in the league behind him. This forced the defense to bring 7 or 8 into the box to stop him (which they did very well) and with only 4 or 5 guys in coverage any quarterback is going to be successful...except maybe Jamarcus Russell

You are right for a couple of the sacks but at least 5 of them he had nothing to do but go down. When the Vikings blitzed he was getting rid of the ball but when they rushed 4 against 5 there were too many people in coverage to always find that opening right away. A very simple catch by Donald Lee and this was a very different ending...not saying they would have won but it would have definitely been closer!

"I can't believe all the Favre bashers must still be sleeping! A few weeks ago all you heard was how much everyone was glad that the Packers don't have Favre and all he wants is attention."

If you did watch the game last night considering Rodgers had 3 seconds to throw the ball and Favre had 6, Rodgers outplayed Favre. The Packers don't have anything to be worried about if Clifton can come back healthy. The Pack stopped AP and with Clift and Bigby back for round 2 this will be a very different game!

GO PACK!
