jcommon-with a grant the money either needs to be spent or the district will lose it. So I say spend it, but spend it wisely. I personally believe that a social worker looking out for the well-being of our children is far more important than starting a 4K program.

That is the problem...no one takes marriage (or relationships) seriously anymore which is why the divorce rate is so high.

My understanding that in some states, not Wisconsin, genetic testing can be used against you to obtain insurance. How are these tests going to affect that?

Years ago I heard a black friend of mine refer to his black friends by the N word. When I asked why it is okay for them to call eachother that, but not white people to use that term he really did not have an answer for me. I do agree that we have to be sensitive to the words that we use, but I don't feel that we get the same respect. Why is there groups that work with students of color, but no group for the white children when they have to deal with difficult situations? Why do they call each other brothers and sisters?? Shouldn't we all be brothers and sisters of America??

Addiction is a disease, yes, but I do not think that it is comparable to cancer. With one option you usually have the choice and the other you don't so quit making excuses for drug users.

Maybe if these children would have attended church in the first place they wouldn't be in the situation that they are in. Why is it that us that believe in God have to tip toe around people that don't. I should have just as many rights as you.
