It never should have been the call for congress to make. Quit taxing the crap out of the states so we can take care of that stuff ourselves.

I actually agree with vato again, who would of thunk it? The system itself is broke and needs to be fixed. I'm fairly sure the people in the system know that better than anyone. I have heard first hand from numerous teachers that the system needs to be revamped. Times have changed and so does the method we use to educate. The larger fight from the teachers and the walker issue was that of collective bargaining. Collective bargaining would have helped class size and could have helped fix a broken system. Most educators realized and accepted that paying into their pensions and insurance was inevitable. The problem lies with how Walker rolled the plan out. There was no discussion or give and take. Oh' I'm not a liberal and I voted for Walker but he could have gone about this differently. Another thing, I do NOT support a recall.

“We have great, capable teachers that most likely could handle 32 in a classroom, but I do have concerns about teachers getting burned out after a period of time,” Schulte said.

Don't we want to do a little better than "most likely", Karen?

Hmmmm....Nicksmom, there is a flaw in your agrument. Without teachers to begin with we wouldn't have an EDUCATED police, or fire department. Let's not put the cart before the horse.

@mentor: Because I called you a dubm@$$ you call my argument silly and childish? How so? You said the contracts were rushed through and I simply asked you to retract that untruth. Please tell me in your simple little world how that is childish? If you can't understand that what you stated is factually incorrect then maybe you shouldn't be blogging!

Mentor: Once again missing the point. You made a comment which was quoted by Fearandrhetoric about rushing the contract through. All we're saying is that you are spewing garbage and untruths. Retract what you said as is it is untrue.
On Is movement to recall Walker right or wrong?
Posted on December 7 at 7:26 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
I feel so confused at times. I'm a conservative with pretty much everything except public education where I become more or less liberal. That being said I hate what is happening with public education. I don't think that Walker should be recalled because we don't like his policies. I'm fairly certain he hasn't done anything wrong, at least legally. He may have done things in a very deceiving and dirty way but that should not be grounds for a recall. If you don't like him vote him out next time but don't waste even more money trying to remove him.

How about this....We hold the recall election but if he wins then his term starts over from that date. I like what he's done with most things but dealing with the public employees and unions could have been handled better.

Do any of them know why they are trying to get him recalled? Are there any legal reasons or is it just because they don't like his policy? I'm sorry but I don't believe that we should be able to recall over opinions? Unless there is a justifiable reason for the recall you're only wasting money!
