On Janesville police launch OWI tracking map

Drunk driving arrests and convictions are already PUBLIC RECORD and addresses are listed, so this website just lets you know how close you live to them, just like the sex offender registry(no color coded underwear necessary). I agree that putting the locations of the repeat drunk driving offenders on a website won't matter to them, obviously if it did, they wouldn't be repeat offenders. When you violate a law and are convicted, you lose some of your personal freedom - that's the way it works and should. If you choose to drive drunk and get caught, well then your personal freedom should be at stake rather than the person's who could be a potential victim of a drunk driver. Get real people and do something about these drunk drivers, help out and get them off the streets. I bet you all will be viewing the website when it is fully functional to see who lives in your neighborhood as a repeat offender. Perhaps your name will be there and that is why some of your comments are so against this website.
On Melster Candies leaving longtime Cambridge facility for Janesville

Thinker - Where do you see gloating from Janesville due to this move? It's a news story by the local newspaper and is not gloating, it is reporting.
moho - Maybe you know something many of us don't. Are the majority of this company's employees, that will continue to work for the company, Hispanic? And if so, so what. Your sarcastic comment seems to verge a bit on the racist side.
This decision by Melster Candies to relocate it's company to Janesville is a BUSINESS decision. This happens all the time in the business world.
Although it will have an impact on Cambridge, if the employees commute for their jobs, the money they earn will stay in the community of Cambridge as that is where they live. Perhaps many of the employees live in communities between Janesville and Cambridge, or possibly some already live in the area and commute to Cambridge.
Assuming comments tend to make the person posting the comment look ignorant and ill-informed.

Napalm,
Nude beaches aren't pornographic. However, taking pictures of CHILDREN at a nude beach, whether they are clothed or not, and using those pictures for pornographic purposes is. It has nothing to do with the USA being stuck up - get a clue.

On Schools stand behind American Indian names

This is riduculous! What is wrong with using Native American logos, names and figures depicting the same? It is an honor to remember Native Americans and what they meant and mean to this country. It is not stereotypical at all. I can't even wrap my head around the thinking behind the perception that it is offensive in any way. Stand your ground Big Foot and Fort Atkinson.

OK, what this person did is atrocious and he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law and then some. In addition to what this low-life piece of scum did, I am amazed the number of boys who sent their pics to whom they thought was a girl, and then went along with the blackmail in some cases. What is going on with our youth anyway? These are the kids that will someday be the mainstream adults(or not so mainstream)taking care of this country. Somebody help us and them.

How do we know if there were any parents home at the time or if they even knew their child was hosting a party? If the parents were there and did know about underage drinking, they are culpable. However, if they were unaware, it is too bad they still may have to pay the price for, no doubt, trusting their child.
