On Mowing methods rile residents

I have already cut the weeds, the brush and the trees in the right of way. What is the benefit of mowing a few flowers??? No one has been able to answer that. Down the road, the weeds are bigger and closer to the road than the flowers.
A little reason and logic would be appreciated.

I got a kick out of how everyone changed the issue about mowing when they were asked about it. My concern was; why mow the native plants
while allowing the wild parsnip to grow just down the road? In case you didn't know W.P. causes severe burns when people touch it and it is exposed to sunlight. Absolutely nothing was said about this. They went on a tangent about trees near the road damaging the cement. I already cut all the trees along the road because they were box elder and Siberian elm anyway, another invasive species. I think this is part of the problem; people don't have the ability to FOCUS ON THE PROBLEM. They scalped the part they mowed and is now coming back in weeds!!

On How do you think the state should handle a projected $5 billion budget deficit?

It is time the churches started paying real estate taxes. They receive the same protections from our government services that we do. In times of need, things need to change.

I have been getting 4-5 robo calls EVERY DAY and I am sick of it. They are calling our small business and taking up my time. McCain says he supports small business? By wasting my time? Forget it...I'm voting Obama.

By voting you are telling the board what we the people want. If the board doesn't vote the way the people chose, then maybe it's time for a new board. I also want to add that I'm glad someone is counting our "beans". And, Rock Cty would be breaking up bar fights because Town of Milton barely patrols.

Thank you for putting together an informative web site on the township police department. I felt the site presented a lot of informative information. I didn't think the site was biased. It just gave the information and you can make up your own mind. Thank you Sue and the others for working so hard on this. In these economic times, it's great to know that a town board member is looking into our expenses and whether or not they are necessary.

I'm confused. Why would an option be to pay Rock County to patrol when they are already patrolling 24/7? I thought Rock Cty Sheriff Dept was being paid out of our county tax dollars already. Does the Town of Milton budget for Rock Cty Sheriff Dept patrolling now? How much will the Town of Milton have to budget if the police dept. is eliminated?

Kudos to Rock Cty Sheriff Dept for being here during the flooding on Charley Bluff 24/7. I never saw Town of Milton???

I did not see Sue Gavigan's name mentioned in this article. Where did you find Sue's numbers as I haven't seen them published? I'd like to review as well.
