On DOT suspends highway bypass plan indefinitely

Jshiner -
I agree that hwy 14 needs upgrading, however this bypass is all about creating a new road,
taking farm land and homes, not fixing what we have.
On DOT suspends highway bypass plan indefinitely

Glad to hear this!
I've said it before, and will repeat... Any new project that takes away farm land in this part of the state nees to have very close examination.
We grow FOOD here, stuff we should be eating to sustain our lives. The DOT looks at a map from "on high" and draws a line, they don't look at or care about what they are destroying.
We have a DOT truck scale complex that destroyed some of the most fertile land in the state, acreage that produced food, because the DOT insisted it had to placed right there. The site is closed more than it is open. Darn right we need to set these people right!

"While Barrett claims Walker has cooked the books, it is safe to say that Barrett has charred Milwaukee County with debt."
Ah but who was Milwaukee County executive during that same period of time? Your boy Scooter Walker, who shares the blame!

Most likely the gas was supposed to be $3.7* something, and they forgot the last number before hitting the enter key..
(trying to get the comments BACK ON TOPIC!!)
You are supposed to go out and check the pumps and the sign after making a price change, sounds like someone goofed- big time!
On Highway 11 bypass project takes a hit

What a lot of people seem to overlook in all this road work, bypasses, and expansions, is the LOSS of farmland. The roads split farms, create problems for farmers who, in some cases sell off the split off land, that often has become housing. Remember, we have some of the best farmland in the country in this county, but we are allowing it to be carved up for highways, Weigh stations that are now underused, and other non farm uses.
Where are we going to grow food when this land is gone? Think about this....

Ok, a barge/tug combination ship. So the fuel would be the for the ships engine. Not a tanker.
Glad to see all will be well.
Mouse, your video had NOTHING to do with the story ( other than it was in MI)

Hmmm... Marinetraffic.com shows no ship with that name in Lake Michigan. 49,000 gal of fuel would be normal for any great lakes cargo ship...

According to a story reported in this newspaper, the shots fired did not even occur on their property, and more things happen on Main st than at Back Bar. Haven't been there since it was a bowling alley.....so yea they were right in giving them another chance.
