On I'm sad to see this store close…

My kids and I loved this store! So sad that it is closing. We would go in to shop and end up spending an hour playing before we made our purchases. I always bought teacher gifts there too. We will miss you building blocks!!!

My kids didn't like the Dark crystal, Neverending story, or the Labrynth!!! Don't 6 year olds these days appreciate David Bowie in spandex?

On Neighbors enjoy sights of the Rock County 4-H Fair

We live a few blocks from the fairgrounds. For the most part, I don't mind the constant traffic all week long and enjoy seeing the many families walking by with their little ones. I do mind however when I find garbage in my yard or my kids are awakened by some loud people (or loud truck pipes) returning to their cars after a night at the fair. Please remember to be respectful to the folks who live in the fairgrounds neighborhood! :)

I'm sure if he were wearing his "new legs" as the story states he would be well over the height requirement.

Greg, we live in the same neighborhood I guess! I've noticed the same thing and it breaks my heart. 2 huge maples on Blaine gone, 3 on Sherman.. Not one has been replaced. Don't homeowners know the value and benefits of trees? I just planted one in the terrace on earth day, but my neighbor hasn't replaced his that was knocked down by a garbage truck. If folks would let me I'd plant trees in all of my neighbors yards! I love trees!
On No fan of the Milton Avenue circuit

sigma, you are a jerk. I live 4 blocks in from Mt Zion, not on a highway. I do not hear these loud noises during the day, only at night when the circuit riders floor it when they turn onto Mt Zion from Milton ave. Why should I move? Why cant they (and you) have some respect for others? That is all Im asking. Keep driving around in circles, I dont care. Just be respectful and stop breaking the law.

I work 2nd shift in Madison on weekends. I have to drive down Milton ave at around midnight. It is SCARY!!! I can't tell you how many times I've been cut off, nearly rear ended, sworn at, etc. The one time I contact the police department I was told to take a different route. Why should I have to do that? I live right off Milton ave, pay taxes here, contribute to society...these other drivers break the law but I should have to drive out of my way?
Furthermore, we cannot have our windows open at night due to the noise. We live 4 blocks from where they turn around and the noises are ridiculous! I just think they shouldn't be allowed so close to residential areas.

Jim Bryant at Parkview. He was the only teacher who truly challenged me at that school.
