true, there is no statutory bar. It is for the same reason some didn't vote for Mr Rashkin for city council, because his wife was currently on the school board. (This election was, of course, before they separated) No statutory bar, but still, looks fishy.
Should any family member of the current candidates for either board or council choose to run at the same time, or for an additional local office as in the case of Ms Stottler, in good conscience, I could only vote for one office or one family member.

since Ms Stottler holds another elected position, I question whether she should hold two at that same time

yes, most qualified should be the criteria. Gender, creed, etc does not make one more-or less-qualified for any elected position.

so what if Ms. Sheridan ends up the only woman on the board...wasn't the lesson learned from the November election supposed to be that the public doesn't care about the skin tone or gender of any particular candidate, but rather that any given candidate has the neccesary skill set to fulfill the duties of the office s/he is seeking?

real trees also thaw when they're brought inside...a huge problem for anyone allergic to mold. Once the tree warms up, the mold begins to be an issue. Also, some allergy sufferers are are allergic to the tree itself.
For allergy sufferers opting for a fake tree, sealed storage is important.

this is not about Ms Stottler personally, but about appearance of any one having too many elected postions. I would feel the same way if any other elected official were in her situation.
It is wonderful that Ms Stottler, as well as many of the other candidates for council or board, volunteer in several other capacities. We need more citizens willing to do the same.
School board or citiy council tends to require a significant amount of time if the board or council member is going to do the job well, as I'm sure the clerk's job must. The current & newly elected board will have contract negotiations and likely budget cuts, in addition to searching for & hiring a new superintendent. Then there are the clerk duties. I believe it's spreading too thin--whether that candidate is Ms Stottler or anyone else, for that matter, to hold 2 elected positions.
