On Incumbent Ryan faces new challenger in 1st District
Posted on October 31 at 5:40 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
About 2 years ago, I was part of one of Ryan's telephone town meetings. At that time, I asked what I thought was a very important question of Mr. Ryan. I have yet to get an answer from him. He has shown what his answer was, & I will NOT be every voting for him again. I also regret ever voting for him.
The question: What do you plan to do about the choke hold that health care insurance companies, other medical companies, & the oil companies have on our country.
I guess he is helping them, because I don't see anything that he has done to stop them.
On Missing 8-year-old found dead in Sauk County river

This is so sad prayers for the family.
As for the reports that they didn't start looking for him till 9pm. The grandmother was on news 15 saying that not only had they been looking for him long before 9pm, but that Reedsburg police station sent them to Sauk county which is also a "reason" for the time "problem". She stated that while the parents were reporting on him, others' were still looking.
This is a VERY sad ending to a horrible situation. Don't judge. It is so easy to still back & say "oh they SHOULD have this or that."

There IS a nesting pair in the area. I have seen them SEVERAL times & have pictures to prove it.
Also, I was less than 20 feet away & know the difference between an Osprey & Bald Eagle. We also have 2 pairs of Blue Herons' back this year.

Why do we continue to reward those who are here illegally? So when your doing something that is illegal we praise you? I agree Jo. NO NO NO NO. Sham on the Assembly if they allow this to even get one minute of their time. What part of the word ILLEGAL is not clear.

On County expanding juvenile programs to keep kids out of jail
Posted on December 9 at 6:08 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
My daughter participated in this program, & "graduated". I asked her about the "bribes" I guess if you call a fake "buck" they can redeam later for a piece of candy or little trinket. Then yes they were bribed for comming.
These kids were on the verge of going to detention or worse. Sometimes when you are dealing with anyone that is on the verge of having nothing to lose you have to start small.
Also, I see improvements with each group. as with any new program there are some "growing pains" It is a good program with a very good future.
Oh & diplomat I can think of lots of things that would be "the last thing I would donate to", but I'm glad you have figured out what yours is.

I agree with Quad. - at that store she would have had to work her way around all sorts of displays & then go outside to yell for help. Was the clerk filling shelves or something that would take her out from behind the counter.
Why don't the all-night stores have a "panic" button that calls 911? Also, do they have servelance (sorry sp).
& yet still why would this person leave empty handed? Did the cleark reconize this person & say "hey George I know it's you so I'm going to run outside & scream while you run out the back door & go home & dont' ever try this again"
Very strange. Hey JB Strange & stupid news right here in our own town. I'll be listening.... :)
On Supreme Court rules against men in abuse case
Posted on July 17 at 11:20 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
This amazes me & it shows the mind-set of the "people in power". How can you sue someone when you are not yet aware of the abuse
"When the diocese learned of the abuse, church officials told Kazmarek to “leave Milwaukee quietly” despite promises to parents that he would get treatment and never have contact with children again, the lawsuit claimed. Kazmarek then went on to teach at a Catholic school in suburban Madison where he abused up to ten children before moving to Kentucky, the lawsuit said.
The appeals court ruled the lawsuit was barred because the three-year statute of limitations for negligence claims started ticking no later than the last assault more than 40 years ago."
Just because they got away with it at the time & have "made lives" while their victims have struggled to pick their lives up. How is that even remotely the right thing to do?
Shows people who is more important. Why should a victim even expose themselves, AGAIN, when nothing is going to be done except to spash the victims name because they are no longer a child.

On GM to buy back 200M shares as part of gov't exit
Posted on December 19 at 4:22 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
How about instead, GM pays $100. a share, that way the TARP makes a profit & the profit goes to reduce the debt that was increased from GM getting & others getting bailed out.
Then they can sell the others at market or even better gift them to some of the past workers & spouses they screwed over.
