Just to clarify....I wasn't saying that my gas guzzler makes me any safer, I am just thankful I have four wheel drive to get down my drifted in the backwoods roads. I NEVER drive fast just because I have a 4x4, I just feel a bit more confident I am not going to get stuck! Especially since we are having WONDERFUL winters again like we used to have. I really wanted to get a sipper this past year, but glad my hubby talked me out of it.

LULU...I totally agree....I am a very cautious driver, not saying I don't make mistakes, but it is totally that other person that drives me insane. If there was no traffic, I would go out in this all day long. I could creep along at 5mph just like I do anyway, but at least I wouldn't have some jerk riding my a**. Accidents have nothing to do with having a car or a truck, accidents usually are the effect of inattentive drivers.

Gazette...thank you for the information. I pity the people though that NEED someone to tell them that the roads are not good. Look out your window, that should be information enough. I guess I am fortuneate enough that I don't have to drive anywhere, but, even if I did, I wouldn't. And I THANK GOD I kept my gas guzzling GENERAL MOTORS TAHOE! I would be kicking myself in the rear end if I would have jumped on the bandwagon and baught a little gas sipper. Phew.

The thing that is so sad is, yet another man took his life within our community this last week because of money issues. I know hard luck can seem like it becomes your identity, but please, please, please if you are feeling over your head, there are options. This man left behind a wife and children....as so many others have before him and will after.

LULU...here here!! I am having reminicent thoughts....we are having winters like we did when I was a kid! This is what winter is all abuot. But, yes, I do agree, it would be wonderful if pavement somehow had "snow repellent". hehe

4FOR10....I totally agree....a overflowing cup within the soul can't be filled with ANY amount of money. It comes from compassion. And that is what we are all inately made to be....compassionate, it is the social stigmas that harden us, and tend to overlook the positives and focus on the negatives. This is an excellent start. Let's play "follow the leader".

Like I have said before. Until ANY ONE OF US sits a minute in the oval office, and walks a mile in the shoes of a politician, I really don't think we have any room to talk about what should or shouldn't be done. Sure, we can have our opinions, but we sure as heck don't have a clue how to run a contry. I can say that with certaintly....especially since most of you think there is a conspiracy of the snow plowers.....
