I see cougars every weekend as far north as Klub Bub and as far south as Junction Pub. (someone had to be the first person to make the obligatory cougar joke)

I can see how someone could have issue with extending his curfew to allow him to play golf, personally I don't think it's a huge deal, but do we really have to go through the whole "why is he out on a signature bond?" thing again? That is how our court system works, he is apparently not a threat to flee in the eyes of the judge/DA. He is entitled to his day in court just like anyone else, after that feel free to judge all you want.

janesvillemom, I suppose I can see that angle, but I also think that for all the "don't ruin his career" voices there are just as many people ready to string him up without due justice as a "dumb jock who thinks he can get away with anything". Lets be honest, there are plenty of people biased in BOTH directions because of Fry's "status" as an athlete. Lets just hope the court system works as intended and we have as unbiased of a trial as possible.

in_my_opinion, what are these "driving charges" you're talking about? From what I know, most anyone in jail on a "driving charge" probably has prior convictions. Innocent until proven guilty is kind of a staple of our country.

Janesvillemom, that USA Today article is over 5 years old and focuses solely on professional and division 1 NCAA athletes. The reason the conviction rate is so low on those athletes is because they are as big of a target as you can get for false sexual abuse and related claims. Please tell me you are not comparing Zach Fry to Kobe Bryant or this situation to any other professional/high level NCAA athlete's.

I would assume there is no info on the girl because she is the victim and a minor, they are protecting her identity. As for the material about his football career, they are simply giving some background information and as unnecessary as that may or may not have been, some people seem to be reading a little too much into it.

Agree with yada, this story is simply presenting the facts, I don't see any portion of the story that atempts to offer an opinion of whether or not he is guilty or that he should be given any benefit of the doubt because he is a football player. I would just urge everyone to let all the information come out and not snap to any judgements, that said, we're on an internet message board so I suppse we'd have nothing without kneejerk reactions.
