Bobb - Why not make those comments on stories that actually address those issues? Why drop them on here? Totally off-topic.

I think this was supposed to be a news story, but it reads like an opinion piece.

Good for you, Matt. I'm glad you're running as an independent. It will be nice to have someone in the race who actually thinks about his positions rather than doing whatever Evil Party #1 or Evil Party #2 tells him to do.

As I recall, one week after 9/11, Bush had an approval rating somewhere in the 90s. It wasn't until the war in Iraq that people started to question whether he was using 9/11 as an excuse to take that action.
That's why this is different - within days, the President's enemies were speculating with nothing to back it up.
On Republican Wall launches campaign against Feingold

I don't agree with everything Feingold does, but of all the politicians in Washington, he's one of the few who is unafraid of rocking the boat within his own party. He gets my vote just for that. I'm tired of partisan hacks on both sides who just repeat the same old party mantras, and it sounds like Wall is just another R reciting the same tired old scripted lines. I'd rather have someone like Feingold who at least is willing to vote his conscience instead of what his party tells him to do.
Case in point - the sole vote against the Patriot Act. The guy's got guts.

I just read it, too, janesvillean. To be honest, I thought it was a good piece of writing.

Nice comeback, Bobb. Did you do a fistpump when you wrote it?
Well, unlike you, who just sits around all day and comments your latest political pet peeve on every Gazette story, I actually went to the concert and caught most of it and threw a donation into the pot. It was really well done and after seeing the pictures and hearing the minister speak, I went home and thanked God that I was born in the imperfect USA instead of Haiti.
