The one where the woman exposed her bare bottom really 'cracks' me up.

I have a 17 year old sister, and I do not like it when she drinks. (This is going to get a lot of backlash, but...) When they go to college, what do you think is going to happen? They're going to drink - a lot - and get out of control, and make bad decisions. Don't you think parents should teach kids to drink responsibly? I DO NOT think it's ok for a parent to throw a drinking party, but don't you think a glass of wine at dinner is ok? To teach them how it feels, how it impairs their judgment?
.
I completely understand a person's position on a no tolerance kind of thing, so please don't think I am all for underage drinking or anything. I guess my stance is more of teaching them to be able to make better decisions, because my guess is that they will be drinking anyway.

localboy, you are misunderstanding my point of view. I don't condone drug use, or especially dealing. I'm just saying that there is more to a person than whether or not they smoke pot. And to immediately write them off as a bad person is wrong.

msleo, I agree. I think there are plenty of extremely intelligent people who smoke pot. You can't define a person by one activity in which they choose to partake.

joeflint - my thoughts exactly. Thank you for being rational.
.
I agree that murder is brutal, and those who are guilty should be appropriately penalized, but death right away? Without an appeal process? I bet you wouldn't be so eager to flip the switch if you were the one wrongly convicted and facing the death penalty. Look at it from more than just one angle.
On Some districts win and some lose in open enrollment

Bigmike, I disagree. I don't think kids should be forced to go to the district they live in. I know of a couple of girls who left their school district because the other kids were so nasty to them. I think if they're that unhappy, they should be allowed to go to a school that will let them be happy.
On Parlez-vous Francais? Milton teachers make language practical, fun

I took Spanish in high school and wish I would have taken French. So I asked my little sister to teach me. She really got a kick out of me trying to pronounce the words. It was brutal. But I still think it's a beautiful language. Maybe someday I'll actually learn it.

The best customer serivce I came across was with a woman at the Janesville Kohl's jewelry counter. I had my eye on a ring that was really reasonably priced. She told me to come back on the weekend if I could because I could save another 25% with their Early Bird thing, and on top of that, gave me a Friends and Family discount card. I was floored, and I did go back and buy the ring.
