Anyone know where I can get the following bumper sticker?
**
Like high prices? Thank a union!

On Walker says he won't negotiate with unions

@gogreen61 - Stop drinking the cool-aid.Fight for your rights? Hah! The reality is that people in unions need someone else to fight for their rights for them. I have two family members who have lost their jobs after the unions couldn't do anything to protect them. And what about all those lovely folks at GM? What did the union do for them except hyper-inflate their wages and then ultimately render them unproductive in the real work world. Who can afford to hire a union veteran who's only skill-set is to tighten lug nuts for $30/hr? And everybody is surprised the poor guy/gal cannot find a "good paying job"?
**
And let's not forget that a BIG reason it costs so much money to survive is due to the over-priced merchandise consumers have to pay for in order to cover inflated wages, A+ insurance benefits and pension/retirement plans. Give me a break. Unions had their day and that day is over. It is time for them to pack up their stuff and head over sees and try to rid the rest of the world of child labor, 20 hour work days and all of the other good stuff the did here IN THE PAST.
**
You, my friend, are the coward. Go into the real world marketplace and see how the other half lives. Don't hide behind your union. Be independent and truly fight for YOURSELF.

On ’Never missed a Super Bowl’ member passes away

I never liked those commercials. The fact one of the guys said he missed the birth of his kid in order to attend a game made me scratch my head. Had he kicked the bucket before the game, they could've sent his casket. Timing is everything!

On Congress to restore unemployment benefits this week

Posted on July 21 at 11:31 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Jvlhomeowner- Your comment was "based on only seeing "high profile" Republicans on the news protesting this extension." Exactly. The MSM only showing you what they want you to see.
-
As far as republicans "complaining that it should be paid for by cuts elsewhere, but never offered any suggestion where these cuts could be made"... come one! What is wrong with "complaining" that it be paid for by cuts else where? Think of it this way... they could "cut" 24BN from the unreleased stimulus funds and redirect to extending these benefits. This, by the way, was presented to Mr. Reid and he said no! If the information you are getting does not report this, I suggest you look elsewhere for your news. Try this: http://washingtonindependent.com/90733/v...

-
The other thing that irritates me is the fact Obama held a press conference stating that Republicans are withholding these funds all the while knowing that Mr. Byrd's replacement will give them the votes they needed anyways. More political grandstanding.
-
As far for voting for Obama last election... thanks a lot. Let it be known in the fine print of history you had a hand in dismantling this great country and turning it into a Socialist nightmare. To quote Mrs. Palin... "How's that hopey-changey thing working out for you"?

Jvlhomeowner, you wrote "...The first thing every Republican who opposed this bill should do is take a 75% pay cut as an "example" of where the budget cuts could come from to pay for the extensions. People who were hurt by this delay will remember this at election time, especially since this extension will run out at election time."
-
The Republicans were not against extending the benefits. They just wanted Obama to find the money for it. Remember his (and Congress') statement last Spring that they will pay as they go? What a line of BS.
-
Why doesn't Obama take some of the already allocated (not yet spent) stimulus money and release it to cover these costs? What ever happened to being a man of principle? I know it happens on both sides of the aisle but we need to stop being so blinded by our party affiliation that we fail to hold anyone accountable. A liar is a liar, whether it be a pachyderm or an ass.
-
This man (Obama) is a fool and I can tell from your comment that you are just as uninformed as the rest of the dwindling number Obamanites that continue to buy into double-speak, bait-and-switch Socialist policies.
-
Wake up people! Your country that you love is slowly disappearing. Greece, here we come!

On What do you think? Time to say goodbye to the Saturn?

Unless you are paying for the new car in it's entirety (read... CASH) then I say keep the old one. A few months of car payments poured into your "girl" will still saves you thousands in the long run.

farfnik wrote "Oh, that's right happypants. Explore Wisconsin, bring money, leave money, then go home right away. Thank you, please drive through."

We can agree then. The people of Wisconsin NEED the people of ILLINOIS (or as you state, their money). Regardless, don't bite the hand that feeds you.
